Windscreen scratched with ice scaper ???

Let the wife borrow the car for two days when I was away on business and now find after yesterday's cleaning that I have a 10" long screen vertically down the windscreen.

 

Pretty shallow, but a finger nail finds it and it is visible. Luckily it is just outside the swept area of the wiper.

 

Now the only thing I can think of is that I came from the ice scaper she used on these cold mornings. Do you really think that a scraper can mark the glass to this extent and what the hell am I going to do???

you may be able to get the scratch repaired. Talk to a windscreen chip specialist.

I got a slight mark out of my windscreen with some proprietary polishing paste the windscreen fitters use (sorry dont know the brand , ask a windshield fitter )
