  1. I agree with stew, Advanced riding is helpful. I have done the Bike safe event with the police and done the IAM training, just not done the test yet (due to having a major argument with the iam advisor person) it has also made my car driving a lot better cause you look at the lines and corners in a more technical way, which helps you get the best speed round them. Adam
  2. instant death at any corner, no corner = no fun on a bike i want to go clean the bike but i cant be arsed lol. Adam
  3. a turbo r1 can go at 10mph if you let it, it doesnt automatically go to 200mph (i don't think anyway) just doing some touch ups to bar ends and bolts today then hopefully a clean later on! Adam
  4. I'm a biker, had a fantastic run yesterday, Glasgow to arrochar, to inverary, to tyndrum, to callendar, to dukes pass then home. Haven't had that good a run in a while, think i overtook about 20bikes overall (a few twice after we had pulled in) had an idiot who went round corners at 10mph then on the straight opened it up, vfr800 is fast on the straight. so had to overtake him on a nice wee bend (i was in the correct position to see round the whole bend for on coming traffic) I have learnt that i hate open country roads that are good in a car, and prefer the more technical twisty parts. had a new biker on the same bike as me (he illigally unrestricted it) and he thought "same bike, same power, i'll keep up no problems" When i pulled in at the end of Dukes pass, i waited 20mins for him to arrive ha Anyway, just remeber what ever bike you get, it will only go as fast as you let it! Adam (will get photos up later as all the ones i have are out of date)
  5. Just to point out to the people posting, he didn't take them himself lol

  7. it was a warehouse in hillington, glasgow, i have contacts who got me the space for a day, was quite helpful as the lighting in there was soooooo nice.
  8. Thought i may as well post it here as well as PH well i have managed to finish editing the Lambo shoot from last sunday, i'm impressed, had a shoot every second day this week and still manage to have a turn around of under a week. all the shots are visible at http://s438.photobucket.com/albums/qq106/ARphotographs/Lambo%20shoot/ but here is a select few. 9. This already is in force for motorbikes, if you are under 21, and want a full bike license you need to do your A2 test, which restricts you to 33bhp for 2 years, then after your 2 years, you can ride anything you want. So if you pass on your 17th birthday, you can ride anything you want after your 19th bday, i agree it is a good idea, as i had to go through the restriction period, but i'm under 21 but can now ride anything i want. there is one MAJOR flaw with the way the bikes are done and the way you propose to do the cars as well. ok so nothing over 100bhp till your over 25, so someone who has driven two years still has to be on a 1.4l yet they do 10, 000miles a year, yet any tom dick and harry who just do their test for the first time and are 26, can go out and buy/ drive anything they want, yet the "young" driver has more experience. That is where the flaw with the bikes comes in, if your over 21 you sit your DAS (direct access) and then can ride anything you want, with no restriction period. they say young drivers are the biggest risk, i remeber being at a bike talk with the head of the police bike section and he says the statistics are actually from around 25 to 40, as this is when people go "i'm not a young driver anymore" and they can get insured on anything they please. so yes i agree limit people to what they drive, but make it fair for everyone who passes and restrict everyone, or no one. There are some 19year olds who are more mature than 28year olds, and will drive sensibly.
  10. I do my own adjustments but my main aim is to get it as close to perfect as i can at the camera stage, saves editing time later. i'd let agencies re-touch my images if i was commissioned to shoot something for an advert and it needed to be manipulated, but otherwise i won't let anyone else touch my images. if you need another photographer for your agency, then pm me, i'm looking for more work! (i'm not an automotive only photographer, i just enjoy it more than other work) Stew i'm needing to get back to Keith as i'm over in fort william, and if he will pay the travel (same as travel from glasgow up and back) then i'll come do the shoot and will give you a text. about to upload more pics for you Adam
  11. Well, has anyone noticed i've been awfully quiet? well, a week last sunday i shot this, then monday i shot a 1970s Corvette stingray, then thursday i shot a lotus elise/exige (elise with a honda engine and exige body) Then this sunday i shot these, so who is interested in seeing the rest once they are done? Adam
  12. that made me choke on my food, fantastic
  13. Don't be so silly, the ferry goes on water not on ground
  14. If you need advice about fort william, i can easily tell you about it, the train leaves once a day, goes to mallaig and back, and you will pass my grandparents place which sits about a meter off to the right of the track, near loch eil outward bound. If your getting photos of it, get the photo of it on its way TO mallaig, as there is no turn table at that end so the steam train comes backwards down the line, tis quite funny to see. Spent probably half my life up there and i've never done ben nevis lol, but i hadn't done a tourist bus in glasgow either till last summer. Loch Ness is easy, its really big, quite hard to miss. Also when in Ft Bill, if you fancy a chippy there is ben fongs, in the fort which is OK, but if you want a good chippy, Sammys out in Coal is fantastic. the Go Karting track shut just before last summer i loved that place, specially after the rain. I think we should start in fort william, do a run out to mallaig, then onto the ferry to skye, then more roads up north. They have been resurfacing the road to mallaig the past year and making it wider (used to be single track) but it hasn't lost its twistyness last time i was up well hope this hasn't been to strange a read, but i'm now off to bed. Adam
