Hi
My 2003 53 Zed seems [to me] to be riding slightly soft at the front or hard at the rear. It's not something that the dealers could pick up, but what do they know
It seems that the car stutters when pulling away on moderately rough surfaces, which would be consistent with bad rear shocks. It also seems crashy at the rear when going over speed bumbs etc, which could point to rear shocks - or is it just that the front has gone gradually soft and I can't tell the bloody difference?!
Cos they're gas shocks, I can't check for leaks, so I am at a loss. It's a bit costly to change all 4 shocks, and to have them professionally checked means getting them off the car first, all of which is a pain. I could change the wrong 2 if I try and decide fronts v rears......
If anyone is in the Fleet, Hants area and would take the time to either drive me down the road or take mine out and give me a comparison with theirs, it could save me a bundle. Drop me a line if you can help with advice or the test-drive option
Cheers

Hi
My driver door window has adopted a mind of its own. Sometimes it works ok, sometimes it refuses to work at all and sometimes it has a fit - goes up and down like a lunatic until I press the switch again.
I suspect it is the power window regulator which is faulty, not the motor or main switch, because when the system decides to work these both do what they should.
Anyone got any thoughts on this?
I suspect that if I get the door trim off, then replacing the regulator should be a doddle - is that so?
Thanks

Hi
My driver's window is stuck in the 'down by 10mm' position, and won't budge when door shuts or using control switch.
It did this a few days ago and then worked again.
Is it likely to be a loose connection, or busted motor?
PS When I manually push the door closure switch on the door frame, there is a click from the motor area but no movement.
At least it isn't stuck all the way down

Idiot question again - so the wheels can accept 225 or 245 tyres?

Hi
When I bought my Z from a Nissan dealer just over 2 years ago, they replaced all 4 tyres. I have only just spotted that rear tyres are 225 as well as the front ones - both are on standard Rays wheels.
Should I expect to see 245 on rear, and does this mean my rear Rays are non-standard?
(you will now spot who isn't really very good at wheel/tyre technology)
