carb cleaner or even wd40 will dissolve most sticky stuff(carb cleaner is best,or tar and glue remover)

morning all.
had my 04 gt for 4 weeks now and just thought id make a few comments.
coming from TVR's the zed feels very easy going, smooth, not as raw which is great most of the time but a bit more fire would be appreciated occasionally.
nice and comfy.
nice sound.
VERY economical, not a major factor since i only use my zed as a second car,but in 750 miles ive averaged 29 mpg, must try harder!!
nice handling/grip
nasty 2nd gear when cold(1st to 2nd)
dodgy cd player(left channel)must sort.
odd squeak from drivers seat, odd rattle nothing major.
a bit slow.
overall im happy with the package and hopefully will continue to be so.

hi,on my recently bought Zed the previous owner has changed two pulleys at front of engine.
could someone enlighten me as to what this is all about, apart from them looking shiny?
cheers

morning all.
yes i bought the car in the link off pistonheads.
cars great, nice and smooth, quite grunty(obviously not as quick as my TVR but easier to use the power you have).
had CD issues already, ill keep an eye on it.
as for differences, the TVR's are pretty raw compared to other cars but still great fun to drive and be in, and of course sound great, but the Zed is just as nice if for slightly different reasons.
incidentally TVR's are not as unreliable as many think/hear,ive had four(wedge,cerbera,tuscan,T350T)and never had a major issue.
my T350 will be missed, but you cant complain too much when you have a nice Zed to replace it.
cheers for the welcomes

looking forward to the weekend and doing a few miles.
coming from a line of TVR's and other stuff it will be interesting to see the difference.
i'll let you know
