  1. Id love to but the Z is only my stop Gap untill the GTR or 911 comes along when i can justify spending the money

Untill then I fancy spending around £500 on something that will make me smile... (and i mean on the car :p )

  2. Hmmm, so in terms of gains then id be better going for the Mrev2 (mine being the facelift 300ps) and plenum spacer for now, then Ypipe and remap..

Just looking to treat myself to something for now that i will notice the gains (however slight)

  3. Hi

Ive been looking into Ypipes for a while to but up to my scorpion system but im looking for a nudge in the right direction.

Now i know its this section that is renowned for restriction so im looking for the best performance (when i do an upreve etc) and nothing that will change the tone of the Scorpion too much.

Ive noticed lots of people with Japspeed Y pipes but not much else.

  4. After a few spirited drives over my local Brecon Beacons etc im thinking id like to reduce the amount of bodyroll i have from the standard set up on the car.

Im not sure i want the harshness of coilovers as i dont track the car, im not sure just lowering the car would suit my need either.

After reading several articles about the GT-S concept am i right in thinking it had Bilstein shocks and NOT coilovers and if so does anyone have them fitted?

Or am i being a pussy and just get coilovers? I am worried about the Nismo kit scraping on the crappy welsh roads so any advise would be great :D

  5. Bought one from Japspeed yesterday after reading this thread.

Have to admit it was simple to install and set up, took me 10 mins including hiding it nicely and all the wires.

Now ive driven it i have to say it seems like the throttle is crisper but only noticable to me on SP7 IMO and thats about it. Its basically the same as aSport button on an E46 M3, doesnt make it faster just makes the throttle sharper.

Now will i keep it??? Doubt it, it still seems breathless (Revup engine) and i think a Y pipe, plenum spacer, Mrev, high flow cats and a Rev up are the only way forward for me unless i can get a supercharger supplied and fitted for £3k :teeth:

  6. I drove it when I removed the damaged one and got up to 60ish and noticed that an arch liner had indeed come loose so undertray in a must for me.

On My last 350z i had an aftermarket front bumper and didnt use the arch liners and in the rain the Xenon headlight igniter unit got soaked and needed replacing.

Well the search goes on :)

  7. Thank Beavis, im not really willing to loose power over induction noise so ill take your advise as you have the same engine and have experienced both panel filter and pop charger.

What about an exhaust? Ive been looking but again i dont want anything stupidly loud, just a little more 'burble' and something shiney :teeth:

P.s. im assuming mine is the Rev-up as it was registered May 2006, has LED rear lights and my rev light is set at 7000rpm.. would be good to clarify mind as my local dealer is clueless!!!

  8. After much searching and reading i though id ask the question although its probably been done to death

After recently coming back to a Z (MY06 Revup) im wondering if i should simply fit a good pannel filter or do the whole popcharger/induction kit thing?

My last Z was a JDM and i replaced the plenum, K&N Typhoon, ARC titanium exhaust etc but im keen this time to keep the performance modifications simple.

I want a different (slightly louder than std exhaust) and my filter after checking it today is stinking so it needs to go..

  9. Well in all honesty the Golf R32 for me simply wasnt a good car. I found the 4 wheel drive system uselss and it understeered terribly, the power was tame (but i knew that before i bought it), i enjoyed the urgonomics (escuse my spelling) the interior was good as was the DSG gearbox.

The car was an 07 with 40k and when i bought it the steering rack was shot and it didnt drive right, £1000+ later and 2 months of driving (1500 miles approx) and the rack began feeling loose and notchy again only to be diagnosed as the electronic power steering motor faulty. The part was covered by warranty but i simply got rid as i didnt enjoy the car one bit. Im not Bias in anyway, i once owned a 350z JDM and enjoyed it but honestly the drive from the Z suits me 1000 times better, i think its a far better package.

Thanks, the rear lights are indeed LED and the car was registered in May so im assuming it is the facelift model. Would just be nice to know 100%

  10. Well its home and now tucked up on the drive, had a superb 170 mile trip driving it back. It was nice to see and compare the difference of the 350 compared to the R32. Im not being bias but the Golf just doesnt compare with how rewarding the Z feels :drive1 . The Golf did sound better mind soo i suppose a nice exhaust is on the cards at some point.

Just wanted to check that mine is the 300bhp version and how can i check for sure.. sorry to harp on

  11. Well its been 4 years since i got rid of my 350Z and im due to collect another tomorrow. So first let me say hello

I bought an 07 Golf R32 DSG in august after testing a few different cars and though it was nice. After 3 months i hate it and needed something to make me smile again and so tomorrow i pick up my 06 Nismo kitted 350z..

Im wondering however if this is the Rev up version being an 06 with the 20bhp increase or is it still a 276bhp?
