  1. Hi all.

I've had a problem with my front brakes...A while ago (3 months) I changed my pads - which was a nightmare at first because it is a JDM and just finding a shop that sells them... - Anyways, the original pads had the anti-squeel metal plates on the back of them (where the piston pushes against) but they didn't fit my new pads so had to throw them.

Can anyone tell me where I can get some replacement anti-squeel plates from?

    Cheers,

    Colesy

  2. hold on boys, lets not get too  [i tell myself!] She is a convertible you know. You can't buy those for much less than £30K as standard. I think I'll try Autotrader and also I'll post a new 'For Sale' topic with full spec and lots of pics. See what you all think then... :p

  3. Sarnie,

I think Nick is looking offers in region of £18,500 for the above - that is a great deal for someone IMO

OOps. Fair enough. It just shows that Colesy's valuation is waaaaay too high then

Mmmmm. When you've spent over £8000 on extras and the car is in excellent condition still, I don't believe that £23K is too much... :p

  4. How do mate. If you are still looking, i'm selling my car. I need £23K for it, no bartering! 2003 (53) with private plate (says '350'). Black, full body kit, 20" alloys, sat nav etc. etc.

    Let me know,

    Rich

  5. How do mate. If you haven't sorted one yet, i'm looking to sell my black convertible. I'm looking for £23K for it. Big list of extras incl. 20" alloys, sat nav, full body kit etc. etc.

    Let me know,

    Rich

  6. Hi all.

Having purchased a JDM roadster last December, I had to try to sort out some replacement Brake Pads. Managed it in the end but only by chatting to someone from www.speedways.com and sending them an outline scan of the pads I was after. Turns out that (for the fronts anyway) the pads where practically the same as the Nissan 200SX apart from a lug on the back where the cylinder pushes it.

OK, to the point... ;) All of you sexy 350 JDM owners out there who have had similar problems... Can you tell me where you got pads etc. and I'm thinking about doing the servicing on the car myself, so air filters / fuel filters part no's etc. and where to get these bits would be FANTASTIC!!!!

    Cheers,

    Rich

  7. Thats not very nice Minel! Anyway, its all about personal taste....:p Why don't you give me some ideas on how to spec the power up? Mine is bog standard at the minute, but i've got to stop my Supra buddy from taking the mick! Anyone who can give me advice will be a star....:teeth:

  8. Thanks for the compliment on the wheels! B)

I've got lots of ideas with what to do to upgrade the car, i.e. twin turbo etc. but all costs lots of money. A good mate of mine has a Toyota Supra Twin Turbo import, which he paid £7.5K for and its a lot quicker!:headhurt: So not sure whether to wait for a while and buy one of these standard for track days etc. Got to get married first though! :surrender:

  9. Well, I did a lot of checking out different wheels / tyres etc. and ended up with Anterra 343's. Very nice, 2 piece, chrome rims (replaceable). 20" X 11" backs and 20" X 9" fronts....Price total about £2,500.

What d'ya reckon? If you want more info on where to buy, I can forward some details.

  10. ok. Like the yellow! very tasty! don't know if you can help me with something else, my 350 has got quite small discs and pads and I have had some problems recently trying to get a local Nissan garage to help with parts supply - apparently, my chassis number only comes up on a computer in japanese. Surely, every employee at Nissan should be able to speak it fluently! :p:thumbdown:

Can you recommend any UK supplier for discs, pads & calipers etc. like Brembo? And any idea on what I can expect to pay??

    Thanks,

    Rich
