Strange, those JPEGs look the wrong way round to me. Pilot sport 1s are the directional tyres (now discontinued). As far as I know PS2s are not available in 225/45Z18 yet.
Review here, and this is pretty much the cheapest place to get tyres (to quote a local tyre dealer "There's no point in ringing round, you won't get any cheaper than black circles").

Worth considering extending the manufacturers warranty - if you still can. Contact your local Nissan dealer for details.

Obvious question - Z vs Scooby vs Evo. Which is best, second best and why?

The dealer-inspired fix is the re-greasing.
There are 2 official fixes on the Nissan Hi-Tech system
1. A 180 degree rotation and re-use
2. Full replacment.
The only acceptable solution IMO is 2.
I would be telling them in writing, if they do other than 2. , that you regard what they have done as a temporary fix and reserve the right to get it properly fixed when/if it recurs
I have had both of these fixes done on both sides. And yet the mysterious clicking noise remains.
According to the Nissan TSB The cause of the problem is a play between the wheel bearing and the drive shaft.
Bizarrely it now only happens when the car has been running for a while, so maybe the bearing expands a little when warm? Who knows!
My car has been into the dealer 4 times already to get this fixed, and my warranty runs out in 2 weeks. I'm going to write a letter to NMGB, and will include this thread to make the case - if that's OK with the mods?

New phone (still a Nokia) no better, and volume still auto adjusts on the phone, leaving the output to the in car system a little on the quiet side.
Getting used to it now and have decided that the benefit of bluetooth outweighs the fact that it is a bit quiet - and that there are probably more important things to worry about!
-
Thanks for the suggestion. Using a really old phone (brick? - Nokia 6310i) and am getting a new one this week, so maybe it has more Bluetooth features. Will give that a go.
-
It seems that the bluetooth adapter 'sets' the volume on the phone to a couple of bars from the top.
Which means that the only option is to turn up the PHONE volume on the head unit itself - which doesn't fix the mismatch between the call volume and the talking 'lady'.
Maybe its better to not use the voice activated system at all, but not really ideal.

Just bought and installed the Nissan bluetooth adapter from MJP.
Easy to install and works well but there is a big difference in the volume that the helpful 'lady' talks at and the volume of the call, which is much quieter. This was never an issue with the standard cradle.
I see that some others have had the same problem. Anyone worked out a fix yet?

Had to sell my Zed to make room for a growing family
Replaced with a 300bhp estate car, so not all bad, but not a match for the Zed
