  1. Fellas

Transformation is complete and here she be... hope you like the snaps, will post more in the next few days. The body shop did a fantastic job, zero rear wiper hole and debadging etc..

PS the colour is an official Nissan - 40th edition quartz - and to be honest the pictures dont do it justice, in the flesh its utterly :cloud9:

  2. i agree with the last bit definately but i still think he is knob for shouting what he did. At the end of the day i was minding my own business and not causing any noise/trouble or problem for him and he goes out of his way to **** me off.

i dont particularly like football but i wouldnt go out of my way to antagonise people who do like it. each to their own i say! I think he is a big fisherman as he has a load of fishing gear in his garden but i wouldnt dream of putting his hobby down. TBH i couldnt care less what he gets up to

I have to agree that its odd for someone to go out of their way to deliver a low jab at someone else who is clearly doing something they care about. People like that are not happy in my experience. You can sleep well tonight thinking of how miserable he must be.

PS Is his wife a "12 pinter"?

  3. Truth is, not everyone knows/cares about cars.

To people who don't know/care, it's just a Nissan, and a big one that only has two seats. It's expensive, it's loud, it's thirsty, and the boot isn't very big. To non-car people, it's actually not a very good car at all, especially to those who just use a car as an A-to-B device and need somewhere to put the kids and shopping. It's an unnecessary and flash expense in a world where money is tighter than it's ever been, and it's polluting the earth and killing trees. This is why people give disparaging remarks mostly, not because they're jealous or because they're arseholes, but because they don't feel the same way we do. It doesn't make them wrong (arguably they're correct on all counts!), it's just a difference of opinion. To turn around and start slagging them off and calling them stupid makes us just as bad.

We love the cars, it's our money we're spending, and that's all that matters.

I agree with this entirely. People just dont get it if they are not in to it. Whatever "it" is. For example, Im 35 and I play MW2 twice a week and I often enjoy telling people that i do simply because I like their reactions and the pisstake that follows. But I love it enough to actually enjoy the abuse (although my wife doesn't exactly "lust for me" when Im wearing my over ear white headphone/headset and laughing and shouting at my PC). Secondly, its the same with the Zed. Im spending a small fortune on the car having it customised, repainted, upgraded etc.. not because it makes any sense (whatsoever), but because I love the car, i think its unique and I dont care what other people think of it (although it is nice when the occasional compliment arrives, even if it is from some idiot teenager). Same for you pal, you are out there cleaning it and detailing it because you love it, you love it for all the reasons you can think of and some you dont even know. So it really doesn't matter if the whole world disagrees with you, least of all a neighbour who you dont care about. You love the car, nobody should effect a change about what you like and dont like so SCREW them

  4. Looking forward to seeing the outcome, looks like a very professional job so far.

Is going to be "ORANGE"?:lol:

    hahah

mate I love that tango dude in your signature image, makes me laugh everytime I look at him

  5. here are some additional snaps I took of Autoaudios rear forecourt (thats my Zed in the back left of the last shot). They had some unreal motors in there, and even more out front. Its like a custom car fans wet dream in there... none of the cars are "standard" in any way at all

  6. Yes, should have mentioned.. Nismo V2 nose (sans canards), ING Side skirts and she already has a Chargespeed rear. Will keep the colour under my hat for now though (nothing outrageous), the entire car is being repainted, including sils etc...

Hope to have back by late next week :D

  7. Hi 350z-uk

Just thought I would share some exciting times as my Zed is currently being prepared and literally torn apart for its new "skin". Im having a custom paint job throughout, new custom painted brembo calipers, new discs, new bumper, new sideskirts and plenty of custom detailing around the car to polish it off. I hope you enjoy the pictures! I was in at Autoaudio today where it is being done and I must say, it was pretty hardcore seeing the car in this condition... the guys there are total professionals though, and as you can see not a single panel is being left untreated before the painting starts... I will keep the photos coming as it develops over the next few days.

    Cheers to all

    Al

  8. Thanks guys for the heads up. I have managed to source some brembo calipers that I require painting and re labeling, can someone advise for costs /turn around for this please? (PM is fine)

  9. Hi All

Apologies if I am posting in the wrong slot, can I get some guidance on a brake upgrade for the 350z please?

Car currently has the regular non brembo set up and I am looking to do a cost effective upgrade as a service is due on em. The car is only tracked twice a year so mostly street use, but as I am looking to upgrade the wheels I figure some decent callipers and disks wont go amiss. Can anyone guide me to the best source for these sorts of things, I hear great things about the HAWK pads, and Im not fussy about the calliper manufacturer (but must be red). I could get away with just the front pair being replaced for now I guess. Thanks In Advance and again sorry if this is posted in the wrong section.

    Al

  10. very B) but agreed on the fog light unless your getting em tinted.

is it me or do the wheels require spacering

Yeah they do,because the bumper comes lower than the oem one the wheels look like they have shrunk.

Thanks to all for the comments  I totally agree on the wheel spacing, both the chargespeed rear and the black/satin wheel colour have contributed to making them shrink. I mentioned it to the body shop but it wasnt something they do - Can anyone recommend a brand/size of spacers and where I can get them fitted please? - is it a halfords job or need i go somewhere a little more specialist? Cheers for any guidance.

Skinny-er plates on order, i will post pics when fitted

  11. Hi Chaps

been years since i posted last but wanted to share the snaps of my Zed as I got it back yesterday after a long wait for the chargespeed spoiler to arive in the UK and be fit/painted. Autoaudio in NW10 did the job and I must say they were absolutely fantastic. I am having the "oversized" licnese plat swapped for something smaller this weekend though, and my titanuim black wheels will take a bit of getting used to :0)

I hope you like the snaps guys
