  1. Krumble, as it happens, I have a new HKS Delimiter sat here on my desk which you can have for a reasonable price if you want. Send me a pm if you do and i'll get it in the post to you. Cheers Joe
  2. Finally the sun has come out so here's a couple of shiny shots
  3. Yeh it does sound awesome. Have decorked the exhaust too so it just howls all the time. Wheel wise, Kahns are based a couple of miles down the road (they have some AWESOME motors in their showroom), but because of that every car round here rolls on them. Would quite like something different but not sure what will suit the car.......am open to suggestions!!
  4. Yeh, will get some shiny ones when the sun is shining. Agree about the wheels, been tearing through my DUB mags to find some new ones to match!!
  5. As some of you know, I picked up my new AMV8 last Saturday. Onyx Black with Black Leather Interior and all the extras. So far absolutely loving it. Have done around 400 miles so far and it really is a joy to drive. Quick, responsive, everything you'd expect. For anyone interested I'll do a proper write up when i've got a few more miles on the clock. Anyway, here's a few piccies: Now to change my sig..........
  6. TVR are staying in the UK. They made an announcement a few months back saying that they have agreed with Blackpool council planning for a new purpose built site with a higher production capacity. The TVR was a cracking motor - sooooo quick - but really would not have been manageable over winter. It was either get rid now whilst the weather is good or buy a second motor for the winter. Opted to get rid now - would definitely have one again though. Yes, they are still doing warranty work. My rear windscreen imploded at Sainsburys about a month ago and they fixed at all under warranty. Going to get some piccies today so will post them up later. Joe
  7. Just picked up on this post. I had the Seibon TSII CF Bonnet (which they unfortunately no longer produce). As Val says, the only issue I had was with fitment (had to remove the strut brace). Though that is the reason they stopped making it I believe so you shouldn'nt have any probs with any others. Insurance wise it shouldn't make a difference if you already have other bodykit parts declared. I was with Norwich Union and they just put them all down under the term 'bodykit'. It did affect the premium at first but only because apparently it makes it more appealing to chavvy thieves. Every subsequent part just went under the same umbrella. Joe
  8. Know what you mean about the light, it is fricken pricey - but they're nice big spots with plenty of cameras so I guess you get what you pay for!!!!
  9. Gutted for you. I'm always paranoid about this sort of thing happening. I agree. Looks a bit too deep for Chipsaway but as has already been said, it doesn't cost you anything for them to come out and take a look. I know a good bodyshop in Leeds but that's probably a bit too far for you. Joe
  10. Absolutely I will!!! Took her through the centre of Manchester for a pose just after I picked her up then cruised over to Lytham St Annes yesterday for a drive along the sea front. Really is beautiful to drive. As people kept looking at the car I said to the missus that I bet they thought I was a footballer or something and she says "well they'll only have to look at you to see you're not". Cheeky!!!! Joe
  11. Well, I picked the Aston up on Saturday and am absolutely over the moon with it. They actually had a Gallardo in which they let me nip out in and i've definitely made the right choice. The Aston is sooooo much better looking and in my opinion a much much nicer drive (really didn't like the driving position in the Lambo). It's really quick (admittedly not as quick as the Sagaris but it feels it) and handles beautifully but it just looks stunning!!! I've not stopped smiling all weekend. Will try get out later and get some piccies. Joe
  12. I most certainly will. In fact I read in the paper last week about a guy that was so pi**ed off with the quality of the paint on his aston that he's written "I wish i'd bought a Porsche" down the side. .....hardly instils me with great confidence...!!!
  13. Think the coolest gadget i've seen is this: http://www.karputer.co.uk
  14. Can't wait now !!! All being well I should be able to pick it up tomorrow !!!!!!!!!!
  15. I had the same problem when I sold my Z. Luckily the buyer was quite understanding and was happy to take the car without the V5 initially which I forwarded on when the new one was returned with the tax disc. It means they'll be driving around with your plate for a month or two but the alternative is to postpone selling. Joe
  16. Well i've gone for the Onyx Black with the bright chrome grill etc so it's gotta be 22" Chromes first off !!!
  17. Well, hate to disappoint all you Lambo lovers, but I went to look at an AMV8 last night and it was absolutely stunning. Completely fell in love with it so i've put my deposit down. Dead excited now!!!
  18. Well get your arse over here then Val!!! You know you're more than welcome anytime. Think i'm definitely leaning towards the Aston. I really really like the look of the Lambo (and it's 4wd so winter wouldn't be a problem) but the Astons....well......an Aston.....!!
  19. The Sagaris is a cracking motor. Really enjoy it, and as you say, it looks bonkers!! ...already checked it out, you can get a door conversion for the Gallardo!!
  20. Either an AMV8 or Gallardo. Can't decide between the two, though at the moment i'm swinging slightly towards the Aston.......
  21. Possibly the fastest car i'll ever drive. Absolutely awesomely quick, but fancying a change (again!!). Details as follows: 05/05 Sagaris. 5k miles. Ice Titanium with Grey/Black Leather interior 4L Speed Six 5 Speed Manual PAS etc CD with MP3 Air Con 18" Aloy Wheels Alarm/Immobiliser Tracker Performance wise it is phenomenal. 0-60 in 3.7 secs and 0-100 in 8.1 secs. Handling is superb (even in the wet it's good), but its the acceleration that really brings a smile to the face For more detailed info check out www.tvr.co.uk. If anyone is seriously interested send me a PM and i'll give you my number. Looking for £42,450 ovno.
  22. Wanta350, have replied to your PM. If you are planning on serious mods immediately then an import is certainly the way to go. Joe
  23. Val, if there's an award for biggest creep then I think you've won hands down.....
  24. I've not used bonsai cars personally, but from their website the prices look reasonable. Just make sure you get the full spec of the car before you buy - and if poss i'd even go take a look. Perhaps the one thing to watch out for is that not all imports come with the Brembo's etc. I'd also try to make sure you see all of the import docs, SVA Cert and any previous registration docs from abroad and more importantly that the price you pay includes the import duty/SVA cost. Insurance wise, pretty much anywhere that would insure you for a UK car will insure you for an import. So all the usual lot - Adrian Flux, Norwich Union etc etc etc. Delimiting the cars is easy too. You can get the HKS Speedlimit Defencer (TYPE III) for about £150 - £200 which removes the limit. Cheers Joe
  25. Kids going to need a lot of therapy....
