Just to follow up if any one else has this problem. The UK version of the 350Z requires a different kind of motor that has the reset button on it. The third-party eBay motors wont ever be able to be reset. I had to buy a second-hand OEM motor, and it works great now.

Hey all, My driver side window motor started playing up, tried refurbishing it with no luck. So, rightly or wrongly, I brought a third-party replacement window motor off of eBay. The motor works really well. However, I cannot not get it to reset, so the car knows when the window is up. Its gets confused and rolls the window half way down. The original motor had a reset button on it, which has to be depressed while moving the window to perform the reset. The replacement doesn't have this button - and any reset procedures I see for US or import cars that don't mention this button doesn't work. Car is the 2004 UK version. Any help or advise would be great.
