  1. While the weather has been bad… started working on the headlights, to give the standard ones a bit of a refresh!

Heated them up and split them, removed the amber strip, painted the top chrome section satin black, added 3 led halos and sequential flowing indicator strips / drls.

A more modern look for less than £25 per side.

I’ll fit led dip and main beam bulbs to complete the look.

Next up, split the rear lights for similar treatment…

  2. The car came with an unfitted Magna Tuning RB bodykit, great quality, but the rear arches were missing, instead there were a pair of Firefly Speedshop rear arches… which I didn’t like. So I sold those and I’ve bought a pair of Grams 100mm wider rear arches to complete the kit. The Grams arches are beautifully finished so will suit the Magna kit well, and look pretty much identical to the Magna ones. Here’s the kit from the Magna website…F9AD4FD9-C3A6-4F88-9850-5BCD7FC15655.jpeg.d6ef8b4ac7f66774c753ad1d3d622659.jpeg58003FA7-F4F5-452A-BAB7-1A1C17B9C47E.jpeg.474f8b4ce9d036c159a5f09c1165cafc.jpeg

  3. New to this site so not sure if this is the right place to post... but I’ve just imported a 350z which had an undiagnosed window fault... undaunted I imported it anyway and today’s job was to see if I could get them working. I had a sparky on hand to convert one reversing light into a fog light for the MOT... so I took off the armrest and discovered that the window switches had been disconnected.

So, with it connected back up, the passenger window worked fine, dipping correctly when opening and shutting ... but the driver side would return to the middle when the door was closed. I held the switch while the window went down until I heard two clicks and then held it up until the window was fully up and I heard two clicks again. End result, the windows now perform correctly.

Hello and welcome. Was importing cost efficient on a 2002 car? I would have thought that the shipping costs and tax vs a UK model would have out weighed the savings. That said she does look smart in the photos

Hi, I found it hard to find a uk model with such low mileage (35,000) and mint underneath for anywhere close to what I paid. Also, I like the tiptronic sequential gearchange... and the wife likes the idea of just sticking it in Auto. Cheers, A.

  5. Hi, I’ve just self imported a 2002 Version T 350z (Fairlady z) from Japan. Super low km’s but does have an issue with the windows which don’t work at all at the moment... so I’m sure I will be asking lots of questions as I get to know the car better, regards Adrian (Winchester).
