  1. Does the glass just clip into the frame surround or is there something more? I've just had my glass smashed as I clipped mirrors with another car I've bodged the mirror up with gaffer tape to get me home and not have the remains slap on the bodywork as I can't work out how to remove remains from wire but can't see out of it obviously.

I can't work out what held it in place as mine looks exactly like the first pic and glass has a smooth back too so not sure if something was lost during the mirror smash.

Found link below which may have been useful but the pics arent visible as they're photobucket hosted and blurred

Not sure you're correct ... what year is your car ?

Not being funny, but if you chose the car based on the VED then that was a huge mistake regardless. The difference is about the cost of a pint of beer a week, it’s peanuts.

Just enjoy the car regardless, it’s the fuel consumption that will cripple you not the VED

    Agreed.

  3. Feeling pretty gutted by the new road tax rates (VED) as it seems the older model that I opted for because of the lower tax rate is now in the highest bracket and to rub salt into that wound, I'd even waited until today to tax my new car (which also failed because of the online tax system not finding my vehicle) so I didn't pay a whole month for 3 days of March and that delay ended up costing me £215 rather than saving me £27, and being unable to drive it until Wednesday.

    Guess I'm the April Fool.

  4. After years of lusting after something exotic and boy racery, i've been a Skoda owner since my little lad was born in 1997 and forced me to sell my modded VW Beetle for something more sensible (see pics below) I've finally got something worthy, a 54 plate 350Z GT after that same annoying little boy bought himself a 350Z a few weeks back and was the inspiration for me making the leap (albeit I wanted to get an RX8 to be different until I researched the issues they have) and I'm happy as a pig in the you know what!

Mine is low mileage (43k) and in need of some tweaks (rims/ICE/exhaust) as well as some TLC on the interior (don't they all?) and I'm looking to have some fun getting there as my son and I go on this great little adventure together.

This is REALLY nice mate, great work.

It really improves the interior, gives it a little bit of an exotic feel.

THIS! Makes you wonder why Nissan didn't go that extra step. Mine is in a right mess and while I'm not a fan of alcantara, you've done a top job, may have to do a leather copy of your work.
