The cost is the same as mine, it was brand new and I waited for the tax ruling to change in my favour before buying.
I have no idea what I paid upfront but it was around £7-800. And now that it's paid, my tax will remain at £140 a year.
They should have explained that, its a one off fee!
There were multiple threads asking about this, and google will tell you loads of information.

Also, don't buy a brand new Corsa. God damn, imagine how much more car you can get instead of a shitbox!

He just picked up a 15 plate M135, certainly not my cup of tea as they look exactly like a bog standard 1Series,  but it certainly ticked all the boxes for him. I b hope the next generation 370 Nismos come with a similar DSG box.

So the fact of the matter is, for example I'm paying £560 for road tax for the exact same car as someone who's has been registered more recently (not sure when the new rules came into force?). That's slightly annoying.

I don't get this at all to be honest,  it seems very contradictory to what was explained to my nephew, I'll be looking into this myself.  The new ruling came into play in March of this year.

I paid about £780 up front, and now it's £140 a year. So after 3 years it costs the same as before, and 4th year I've saved money

Mike, you've lost me with this reply sorry.  Are you saying the first initial Road tax was £780 and every year after that it's £140?.... I'm paying £560 for my 65 plate Nismo.

Carwow works for me. They currently have an offer for a 370z Nismo, brand new made to order - £32,139 with 4,49%. This is due to Nissan offering £5k deposit contributions though so take that in mind!

Be interesting to know what the cost of road tax is on a brand new 370, as of March everything was reclassified, my nephew recently went to buy a brand new corsa Vxr when he discovered the road tax had increased from £175 to £ 760 a year!

Needless to say he didn't bother.

  5. Yeah I bought a 65 plate Nismo back in January,  having owned a number of BMWs yawnnnnn the Nissan is a breath of fresh air to drive, a proper drivers car.  I have a couple of little niggles but I can live with them. From 1St to 2nd can be a little notchy and my drivers Reciro seat creeks....Ohhh not forgetting opening the boot which is a two hand operation

Those aside I still love the car.

    Cheers

  6. Absolutely, I have a mate that has just purchased a brand new Audi RS6, it's mind boggling quick but so clinical you don't get the thrill or the jest of how quick your actually going, just not my cup of tea maybe when i'm 75 years of age hahah.

I think in this day and age you'd go a long way to find a car that drives anything like a 370 Nismo, before I purchased my Nismo I test drove a Jag F-Type & a Porsche Cayman, the jag was nice but just didn't get the blood flowing in the right areas, as for the Porsche it felt sloppy and sounded rubbish.

  7. LewisH,

I know exactly how your feeling, I've had my white 65 plate Nismo since March having traded my BMW M4...Yawwwwnnnnn! I just can't get enough of the driving experience. Where did you purchase the red start button?

I keep wanting to fall in love with the M4's as I wouldn't mind something a bit faster! I do find them a bit bland looking though! The only thing I can see me changing my Nismo for is a new mustang, I would love a GTR but the new house build is proving costly 😂 How does the performance of the M4's compare to the Nismo? Must be missing that BHP/Torque surely?

Yes without a doubt the Bima was a much quicker car, but the Nissan wins hands down for driving quality as in feeling your in control, its difficult to explain but the Nissan feels old school exactly how a sports car should feel, the BMW felt to clinical, my other toy which doesn't come out very often is also a Pearl white Lancia Delta Integrale which you drive with gritted teeth!! which is why I always preferred driving this over the Bima, now with the Nismo in the garage it's a tough call to choose......I'd like a Nismo GTR next but that'll be a couple of years away. :D

  8. Awesome, thanks for the link, obviously i'm still new to the Nissan world so I'm not up to speed with some of the models and specs etc, the reason I moved over to Nissan was purely from being behind a Nismo for the first time last year, I said to my wife 'I really want one of those'!! it looked stunning and I was simply bored with my BMW, i'm so far very happy with the car, besides the hands free phone keeps dropping out and I can't seem to connect my music file from my phone to the car for what ever reason, but the Bose sound system puts BMW's Harman to shame! even the sat-nav is far superior to that of BMW's, so beside the phone & ohh yes the boot lid having to be a two hand operation to open :D I totally love the car.

    button?

Welcome to the club! Glad you are enjoying the Nismo. So much more fun to drive than any of the German wagons imo.

Got my start button from Adrian at TORQEN. https://www.torqen.uk/179-interior

You can just order the button, you won't need the surround in a Nismo. Easy to fit, plug and play!

  9. Out for a nice Sunday drive to the lake district in my white Nismo, on the way home we broke of the M6 and headed towards

Morecambe, I drove through a set of lights and spotted a white 370 Nismo same year as mine 65 plate. I glanced over but the driver didn't look very impressed to see the same car heading in the opposite direction. :-). I've owned mine since March and that was the first Nismo i've seen which is why I love this car.

  11. Well my in-door car cover finally arrived from Cover Zone, & i'm extremely happy with the quality.

I obviously did something wrong as this is my second attempt to post this along with the images.....

  12. That is nice, so where can I purchase this spoiler ? and is it a direct fit or would I need to make some modifications. I'm brand new to the Nissan world having owned a few BMW's over the years, any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

    Cheers

  13. Hello gents,

I've just joined the group so apologies if I've entered this new topic in the wrong category. I've recently purchased a 65 plate white 370z Nismo having got bored with my M4, the car is absolutely fantastic. I'm after a car cover as seen in the attachment, can anyone recommend a supplier, I came across this image on a Google search but there wasn't any details on who or where I can purchase one from.

    Cheers Larry
