  1. Ok, so after doing some research I understand that this issue has been posted many times across the forums but I'm just looking for advice.

When I try to pull away quickly in first gear and let the clutch out fast the pedal returns only 1/2 - 3/4 of the way. However this only happens in first gear under these circumstances and a I can't replicate the issue in any other gear. Should I replace the clutch master cylinder (or slave cylinder?) to be on the safe side? Or could this be another issue?

    Thanks:)

  2. Id say its normal, although everyone is bound to be different. Too many variables. Before I had my new CSC and braided line fitted, I definitely had what I would describe as a deadzone, where it made 0 difference. Was very much nothing nothing nothing "clutch engagement" and we're off.

At the back of the pedal there is a pushrod and two nuts, which you can use to adjust the biting point. Its an absolute fiddle mind.

Ahh ok nice one, Just felt a bit weird as my previous car had no free play in the pedal at all, I'll look into adjusting the pedal thanks :)

    Here ya go:

Brilliant thanks for that, looks pretty much exactly the same amount of play as what I've got.

  3. So I got my 350z on the road and drove it for the first time today! :) love it already although I have noticed there's some free play in the clutch pedal before it actually engages. I've attached a link to the video I took so you can see how much play there is.. is this normal for the 350z or not?

  4. You are leaving the car there to have the bumper fitted and not just the bumper aren't you, as you'll have no come back if the colour match isn't right. What's wrong with your original, not repairable ?

Yeah I'll have to put the bumper on and take it over there for them to properly colour match it. Bought the car as a Cat D write off with the intention of fixing it up myself.. it had no bumper when I bought it hence why I was trying to find a new one

Ahh brilliant ok, helps a lot thanks :) that bumpers not for sale by any chance? Turns out the one I was going to buy is damaged so I've been given a full refund - just can't find any others for sale

  6. You could always get the grill itself painted to match? Though the black plastic bits that are attached to the grill can be removed can't they?

Did wonder this but I think I prefer the grills being black.

Not too sure if they can be removed as I haven't received the bumper yet to have a look, would make life much easier if they could be! But I've heard that to remove the grills you have to Dremel them off??

  7. So I've recently bought a black facelift bumper for my grey 06 350z with the intention of taking it to a body shop and getting it re-sprayed the correct colour. Is it true that you can't take out the front grill on these bumpers? If so will the body shop be able to mask up the grill and spray around it or am I better off waiting and trying to find a WV2 facelift bumper?

    Thanks :)
