I recently picked up a slightly tired looking 2007 HR GT with full history and 64k miles for £6750. I knew up front it needed a new banana arm and a big service so I factored the £500 ish for that. Now it's a real peach. There are deals to be had, but mainly if you are willing to buy something that needs a little bit of work.
On the height question, I'm 6' 5" and about 19 stone. It's fine for me as a daily and I have the leather seats. Hope that helps.

Good to see this being saved and returned to a working car. Great job.

My Z seems to have the same issue on the passenger side. I did the brake test and the rattle went away :/
I will be picking up a pair of arms and either getting my local garage to do it, or having a go myself. If you're replacing the whole arm rather than just the bushing, is it a difficult job for driveway spannering? I installed coilovers on my old MX-5 and replaced brakes etc. Just wanted to check I won't get out of my depth before dismantling everything

There are some real treats in here. GLWS

I didn't get down there until a bit later so I think I missed anyone who came. I did see a black 350z there but couldn't work out who the owner was.
I will be there again next month if anyone fancies coming along.

I had a service done last week at trusted local garage.
Both air filters
Engine oil + filter
Clutch fluid
Brake fluid
£152 which I thought was very reasonable
It's going back next week for gearbox and diff oil

Hi all,
I will be going along to the classic car meet at the goat in Hertford Heath this Sunday. I'm sure we don't qualify for classic car status yet, but it's a fairly casual affair. I'd be happy to see some other members there if anyone is in the area. I should be there around 12 with a few friends. Reply in here if you think you can make it.

It's a weird comparison but this series is quite interesting. Another odd pairing is the GT86 vs the last gen Celica. Very different cars but still interesting viewing.

HA! That tazer video is great. I used to watch the tuerk'd videos on network A and they were always good fun.

Thanks for the kind messages guys. Nice to be part of such a welcoming community. I'll keep eye out for a meet in the near future.

I actually spotted after that photo that is was upside down! I have flipped it round now and it fits correctly. There was a private plate on the car before which I didn't take with the sale. I guess they put the old one back on wrong.

I thought this was a joke when I saw it but the more I look at it the more odd it seems. I bet the headroom is pretty tight, let alone any legroom.

Hi everyone,
I have been lurking on here for a while with the intention of picking up a 350z. Last weekend I pulled the trigger and picked up a 2007 HR coupe. I believe it was previously owned by another member here due to a forum sticker on the windscreen. The previous owner sadly died last year and it has been left standing for some time.
First port of call was to give it a good clean and a wax. Next port of call is a decent service. I have it booked in for engine, gearbox and diff oil along with brake and clutch fluids. Lastly I think it will need a new compression arm as I am getting a rattle a low speeds (ball joint?). At some point I will be getting the alloys refurbed as they have some curb rash.
I'm loving it already. Having come from an E92 335i auto, it already feels a lot more involving which is what I have been looking for.

There is an known low pressure issue related to the oil gallery gasket giving up. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/108292-oil-gallery-gasket-repair-350z-hr-and-370z/
That said, this seems to show as lower than 15 psi when it goes wrong. My feeling is that you're still fine but worth bearing in mind if it starts to drop a fair amount lower.
