Thanks Alex, will have a look.
Noise aside, do you reckon the flexy damage a big concern?

Hey everyone!
I hope you're all enjoying the Bank Holiday weekend.
I went for a drive today around Box Hill and on my return I noticed my exhaust note was a bit different, less bassy with a bit of a rattle.
I looked under the car and saw the braids on the flex joints were quite badly frayed (see images).
Do you guys reckon this is a serious issue?
Car is a 2004 DE with no mods.
I really appreciate the help.

Hey guys,
I'm selling my Pioneer SPH-DA110 head unit. Product is in working order and looks almost new! It's a good bit of kit, although having an iPhone, I didn't have full use of the Mirrorlink features. Regardless, its a decent unit with plenty of options and hands free bluetooth (mic included but with a slightly broken base clip, temporarily fixed with blutack).
Comes with all necessary cables etc...
Selling at £100 collected from SW6 London or £115 posted.
Feel free to ask me some more questions.
Cheers,
Jack

Thanks a lot for the responses guys, I'll flag these up when I next to it in.

Thanks for the reply MJC. Is there anything I can do fix it?

Hey everyone,
I've been coming across an issue recently that seems pretty consistent. It's to do with the engine starting up. Here is the scenario:
I get in the car for the first time that day, it starts fine. I drive it around for a while, and stop off somewhere for about 5-15 minutes. Then when I try and start the car again it takes a while to start, like it's struggling to do so. If I've made a few stop/starts, it won't start and I'll have to leave it for a few minutes and try again.
Anyone know of this issue?
I'm not a mechanic whatsoever, but I feel like it could be a battery issue, although it's just been serviced at Japex and surely they would've pointed it out if the battery was low?
I'd appreciate any help you can give.
Car is a 2004 Nissan 350z coupe, with no mods.
Thanks in advance

Thanks for the advice everyone. I've just bought some Meguiars PlasticX and will buff them over the weekend.
If that doesn't work, I'll get the 3M headlight restorer on it!
Cheers

Thats good to know Headphones! Thanks for the tip . What polish did you use?

Hey everyone,
I know there are plenty of tips to restore headlights. I've even gone so far as to buy the 3M Headlight restorer. But upon closer inspection, it seems as though my headlights are cloudy from the inside. I've attached some pics (I hope they're clear enough).
Anyone had any experiences/fixes for this?
Would the restoration kit solve the problem anyway?
Thanks in advance.

Hmm that all sounds very interesting. Do you guys reckon I'll have a risk of Engine knock now that I have half 95ron and half 99 (shell v power nitro+)?
-
Thanks a lot for the responses guys. I feel very reassured . Just filled up with Shell V Power!

Hey everyone,
So I finally picked up my lovely 350z last Friday and had a superb drive down to Goodwood.
Something's worrying me though. I picked up the car with just enough petrol to drive to the nearest petrol station. They only had Unleaded 95, and I just assumed it was fine to use, so I foolishly filled the whole tank with it.
Have driven it quite a bit, without problems to my knowledge. I've been reading a whole bunch of forums today saying that you should never use anything lower than 98RON and now with half a tank of 95RON left I'm in a bit of a panic.
Should I go and top it up with 98RON (i have a shell station near me with V-Power) or wait till the 95 is finished and fill up with 98 from empty?
Also hoping I haven't done any damage to the engine.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Jack

I'm in two minds whether I like it or not. Love the rest of the car, never driven anything of any value, so when I put my foot down I nearly had a bloody heart attack. Felt amazing !

Thanks a lot for the info guys! Will definitely be removing it

Hey everyone,
First post on the forum . I'm a big fan of the 350z and am in the process of buying one. I fell in love with a particular one that I test drove the other day. The only thing I'm questioning is that it seems to have a custom bumper fitted, and the trader didn't know anything about it (see attached). Was it an option offered by Nissan or is it an aftermarket part?
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Jack

Ok so I had another look and couldn't seem to find anything other than the flexis. Went for another quick drive, and maybe rattling was the wrong word.
It sounds quite a bit louder with a buzzing to it. It sounds like a different exhaust, like it's been modded
Any other ideas?
