Interesting video on the results of using a clay bar:
It’s a lengthy video, so to summarise, here are his results:
- new clay bar using water = micro scratches
- new clay bar using specialised lubricator = no scratches
- old clay bar using water = scratches
- old clay bar using specialised lubricator = scratches
To me, re-using a mitt falls under the ‘old clay bar’ above. I’d be happy to use a mitt (and special lubricator) once and then throw it away…but that’s going to get a little expensive.
What do you think?

Can’t comment from personnel experience, but the following topic makes for interesting reading (old, but has some more recent posts): http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/75808-bluetooth-new-phone-pairing-but-nothmm/
Particularly this post within it: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/75808-bluetooth-new-phone-pairing-but-nothmm/page__st__80#entry1429460
Here's another topic with bluetooth issues: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/71305-bluetooth-problem/
This topic suggests a new head unit (with its own bluetooth) might be the best way forward http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/108975-bluetooth-what-do-i-need/page__hl__bluetooth
I’ve only recently bought my 350…so just have the windows down and listen to the sweet sound of the exhaust (I’m a sad old git I know)

As above...
I bought 3 buckets from B&Q http://www.diy.com/departments/active-white-plastic-30-l-plasterers-mixing-bucket/35495_BQ.prd
2 white & 1 black (for wheels). They're taller than most buckets and I try not to dip my mitt below the top 6 inches...so don't use grit guards.

Hi All,
Owner of 06 zed for a month now…and loving it. Unfortunately I haven’t yet seen any other 350s whilst driving around…but then I don’t like driving it in the rain in case it gets dirty
Also, big thanks to this site for all the useful info I used when researching what to look for when buying a car…and which traders to use (thanks Horsham Developments).
Cheers, John
