Sorry to sound simple but how do I do that?
-
Hi chaps, I've tried searching the forum but I can't decide whether I'm being paranoid or not, so thought it best to ask the question to see what people say.
I've just had a JWT clutch and lightweight flywheel combo fitted, new clutch cylinders and while I was at it the gearbox was sent away to be stripped down and checked then rebuilt.
I got the car back earlier, and it's making a horrendous cement mixer grinding sound between 1500-2250 revs. And I mean literally you can hear it from outside the car on the street kind of sound.
Is this normal? And if so will it settle down? Or do you think that they've done something wrong when rebuilding the gearbox?
I'm really concerned and don't want to drive the car it's that bad!

Thanks I couldn't find it anywhere and was having a fit!! Haha thankyou

Tried posting this in technical but didn't seem to work!
I disconnected my battery to clean my MAF sensors on the Zed, 07 plate.
Now when I reconnect it as soon as I open the door the alarm goes off. I tried opening the door with the key rather than the fob, and the car even starts!!
The alarm goes off after 30 seconds or so even with me in the car, but as soon as I open the door it starts again.
Help!

As the title says, I disconnected my battery to clean my MAF sensors on my HR Zed, and now whenever I open the door the alarm goes off. I've tried unlocking the door with the key, starting the car (it starts and runs) and I'm not at a complete loss what to do!!
Any help would be appreciated

Bit of a weird one but I'm after four Z badges from the 370Z boot, they're apparently slightly smaller than the 350Z version.
The story behind this is that I'm looking to make some Z centre caps for my 19" 370z Rays as I can't find any online anywhere and begrudge using stickers unless I have to!!
Any help would be appreciated

Do these fit the Facelift bumper? Looks beautiful compared to the stock grill

It's lovely.
If it was me I'd have ground those welds down though.
I used to be a metal worker. I can get a perfect smooth round edge on stuff like that. Or completely straight. Just me being anal though.
Just need an angle grinder and an orbital sander with varying grits.
Either way it looks good.
See I'm totally opposite to this, I love the welds it shows that it's a custom built up piece rather than a pressed metal mass produced item.
All down to personal preference though, but to me that looks the muts nuts :thumb:

I'd much rather pay the £250 than do this job myself and risk messing it up! I've messaged them and hopefully I'll be getting booked in soon! 😊

Gearbox and clutch/flywheel issues
in 350Z Technical
Posted
Hi chaps, sorry I haven't replied for a while I've been away with limited internet access.
The problem has settled quite a bit and whilst still noisy I've been assured that it's just the clutch-flywheel combo causing the noise.
This thread can now be closed.
Thanks again
