I had a similar issue, all you need is a DVD/CD unit from a UK Primera/Navara and this would be a direct replacement for the JAP one. Mine cost £30 from EBAY.

I know this was a while back but I wondered how you managed to switch the unit for a primera one as the jap one also powers the screen, the uk one doesn't have a connection port on the back ?.

Pretty easy, remove the gauge cluster, 4 screws and 4 bolts and splice the converter into the loom so you will need to make some electrical connections.

 

The digital gauge will read in mph but it wont change the lcd displayed to mph, hope that makes sense.

I've just ordered a km to mph speedo converter so I can convert the 350, has anyone done this ?

Just wondered if it was difficult , any info would be appreciated, also does the converter also change the digital speedo to mph ! Or does this have to be changed by other means ?

There were no dash lights on, they came on after driving it a few miles.

Could be numerous issues, some very cheap to fix and others not so cheap.

 

Best advice that I can give you is not to buy a car with any dash lights on.

Sorry if I've not explained properly, but it's difficult fully understand..I'm told the lights won't go off and the car has gone into limp mode.

I was told it was a Nismo model, I guess if they came out later then it must just have nismo badges . Like I said car is still in Japan as only just purchased and agent has been testing it, he's going to take to Nissan on Monday

I've got what seems to be a common problem with the VDC off / Slip light ... I've been searching the net but can't seem to get an answer, other than it could be the cam shaft sensor,abs sensor , or brake pads low / fluid low (checked that and they fine) any ideas ? Or is a trip to nissan the best option to see if chucks up a fault code ... The car is a 2002 fairlady nismo s-tune ... What makes this worse is I've only just bought the car from Japan and this is what the agents told me ... Arhhhh help please
