Didn’t think I would be able to make this but now I can! I know it’s very last minute but is there any possibility of me getting on our club stand?
Hoping to convoy down with the West Midlands m40 group
cheers

I DID IT! Took me and a friend most the day but we have fitted the springs and the spacers and the ride is amazing! Pics will follow tomorrow after I’ve given her a clean! Wd on the nuts helped a lot! Proper chuffed and the satisfaction of doing it yourself is well worth it!
Also all the posts on the forum helped me no end! So hopefully this gives a little more faith to people who are unsure whether to have a go theirselves!

Remember that you will need spring compressors to change the front springs.
Hopefully borrowing some off someone I know! Will post on here how I get on!

I bend, break and sheer off most things if i stare at them long enough and i managed a full spring change on my drive. Rears are so easy that you feel there should be more to it, fronts are straight forward as long as nothing seized, just take your time.
Job satisfaction is high. Full wheel alignment will be along the lines of 70 + Vat.
Nice one cheers mate, gonna give it a go! Just waiting for my springs to be delivered. Hopefully next Saturday is dry! Lol

Had a look at some of the guides on here and I think me and my mate are going to give it a go as he has done some minor work before. Cheers guys

I know this has been asked before but I couldn’t find a thread which wasn’t at least 5 or so years old. I have just bought some 30mm Eibach lowering springs & 20/25mm spacers for my Z. How much is reasonable for a garage to charge for this and to have the wheels aligned? As I got quoted £399 today which seemed steep. I’m not very confident to do it myself so ideally would like a garage to do it.
Thanks, Chris

Hi mate, would this fit an 05 uk model? Also would it lower the front of the car by much? Just worried about catching it on speed bumps. Cheers
Yeah it fits all pre face lift models which I believe is 2002 - 2006 iirc. Also it would probably make it appear very slightly lower but can’t imagine it would be any issues if you’re on stock suspension.
EDIT: THIS IS FOR A FACELIFT Z. Apologies for any confusion

Is this just fitted using self-tappers on the inside bit underneath?
Not really sure to be honest, I know some people use gorilla glue aswell. Probably best off asking a body shop that question

Just serviced my zed at a place in Leicester called Cougar Store! Guy's name is Mitz and they specialise in zeds! Top guy, knowledge is second to none! Wouldn't take mine anywhere else now. I live In the west midlands so was a bit of a jaunt but well worth the trip! He won't rip you off either

UPDATE! FIXED!
Just thought I'd let everyone know I've fitted a new sensor (which was a ball ache seeing as everything seemed to be seized on lol!) and she is running smooth as ever! Fixed all the problems.. did the pedal dance to reset my ECU and no lights on the dash as of yet! Fingers crossed will stay this way!
For anyone with the same issue, I followed this guide on how to do it as to make sure I was doing it right.. http://my350z.com/forum/engine-drivetrain-and-forced-induction-diy/593589-diy-replacing-camshaft-position-sensor-bank-1-p0340.html I also disconnected my battery while I did it just to be sure I wouldn't electrocute myself lol.

Similar topic asking same question - http://www.350z-uk.c...which-is-which/
Thank you, guess it's the straight sensor I need then! Ordered!
-
bank 1 is near the battery
That's what I thought, from my research I'm pretty sure the sensor for bank 1 is the straight one. However this is stating its the opposite! Don't want to order the wrong sensor.. can anyone confirm what the sensor looks like for P0340?

Am I being dumb here? I believe P0340 is Bank 1 which is Drivers side UK? However they are saying this is Bank 2? I'm confused.
-
Going to order the sensor today that will hopefully cure the problem! Will probably fit it this weekend and post here once done! Thank you

After my beloved zed being in the garage for a couple weeks having some work done I finally got her back Saturday morning! However as I was driving on the evening suddenly the car died on me however I was going about 10mph in gear 1 at the time with the clutch up so the car felt like it braked but fired back up again (I imagine this was just a bump start because of moving). The CEL, ESP OFF & SLIP lights come up after this happened. The car now takes longer than normal to start up and the lights remain on.
I did the pedal dance Sunday and it was throwing up P0340 which I believe is the Camshaft Position Sensor Bank 1. I reset the ECU however the problem comes back. Is it possible that if the garage let the battery run low it has caused this issue? I've done some research and it seems a common problem so I'm not too worried.
Is it worth taking out the sensor and cleaning it to see if it cures? Also, if I replace Bank 1, should I replace Bank 2 aswell?
I've found some sensors on eBay, the genuine Nissan parts are considerably dearer £60+ as opposed to other brands which are £10 - £20 per sensor. Does it have to be a Nissan one or would the non-genuine sensors work perfectly fine?
Thank you for any help!

Rubbish video, you will have to do much better than that for an informed diagnoses.
Best to drop in to a 350Z specialists for there input.
Sorry was only a quick video I got someone to record for me lol. Thanks, will do.
