  1. Looks like a nice one and its a main dealer (Toyota) so should be a decent 1 years warranty.  Check number or owners and what the history is like before you travel as its not mentiond and there might be a reason for that.  Ask when it was last serviced and if it was a while ago, get them to do it and stamp it as part of the deal.  Tyres aren't cheap so check the depth.

  2. Finally got my Nismo :teeth: Well, the wife has :headhurt:

White GT Edition sold privately to a nice chap down south and bought this from a dealer up here.   First mod was the carbon fibre steering wheel.  Supplied by.......ME :) (Available on my traders section)

Have to say, its a nicer car in a lot of ways.  Obviously being the facelift and nearly new, it's a little more refined.  Quieter exterior noise etc but nicer exhaust note and definitely more punchy power delivery and more torque at low speed.  Seems more urgent and wants to be played with.  Really pleased.  Now to sort the audio. The wife wants the decent sounds back in.

  3. I can now supply these absolutely gorgeous and perfectly made 370z REAL carbon fibre steering wheels.  Quality is sublime.

I'm not going to be taking orders at the moment, just selling stock that is in so check what I have by sending me a PM.

These are carbon fibre with a thicker design and flat bottom.  The backs have finger grips at the top actually moulded into the carbon.

Thay are available in three different materials - Perforated Leather - Smooth Leather - Alcantara

They have red stitching and a red centre line which is impregnated into the carbon for a perfect look.

At the moment, I have one of each material in stock.  Once they are gone, only when the next batch is made will they be back on the market and I'll update the thread with new stock.

Price is £499 + £10 shipping or I can fit for £25 at my workshop in Preston.  This is on an exchange basis for yours.  If you want it without an exchange its £549 + shipping or fitting. Airbag/Switches not included

  4. Yes, I would leave the stock HU in place. The JL audio amp is similar to the Hertz HDP5 I use in my PnP kit. There are 3 options open with my kit and you are in the same boat with the JL amp. You can bridge the 4 channels to 2 and double up on power with 150w going to the doors/tweeters or, in my mind, a better option for sound quality, would be to keep the amp at 4 channel for the front but run them active so you have 2 x 75w for the bass speaker and 2 x 75w for the tweeter. Ok, so it might not reach quite the same SPL as 2 x 150w shared but it should be more dynamic and less stress on the amp. I would suggest you speak with the installer and see what they think but thats my opinion. You would need to add another 2 channel amp for the rears or keep the Bose amp in place with the rears connected for some rear fill.

  5. Sorry mate. I was on site in Saltcoats near Glasgow just after nine this morning (early start) and back on my way home by the time you had posted. I'm back home now and just seen your message. I've got your number, I'll give you a call tomorrow if you're around.

  6. I have hundreds of happy GTR customers all over the world and have sponsored the biggest USA GTR forum and UK GTR forum for many years :) I work with many specialist tuning shops and dealers and are even first to call from a few Nissan dealerships on the audio system which the 370z shares in all but a few specs.

It would take LOTS of effort to get a new head unit installed and I'm not sure this would be a priority. It's not something I would get involved in at this stage and certainly not on-site away from my workshop. Getting your amp, speakers and sub in would be a great idea.

  7. Yes, miles away in sunny Lancashire (just north of Manchester). I do travel around quite a bit though so it depends on the job at hand. I'm in Glasgow tomorrow on a job and im in Southampton next wednesday for example

What was it you were after?

  8. At the moment, I've only worked on Connect Premium cars but in the future I'm sure things will develop. You have the same problem as 09 GTR owners. They don't have AUX, USB, Bluetooth streaming etc. I'm working on something for those guys so maybe it will have an application for you too.

What about the guys with a 59 plate 370z as these dont have the connect premium and no usb port!

Have you found a way to plug in a usb at all to play ipods? Thats what i hated the most

  9. Thanks man. It was my wife who said that to me the other day after I asked her to turn it up a bit on her way to work. Her words, not mine lol

"the mirror shakes and your hair moves!"

Best description in an advert ever

I'm salivating at the prospect of owning one and I don't even have a 370z!

  10. No Highs, No Lows, it must be Bose !

Fed up with the mediocre bass in your 370Z? Fancy putting a little more poke in the low end of the audio spectrum?

Here is a complete Nissan 370Z Subwoofer upgrade package :-

    • Plug and Play AV Unit lead for easy connection of your new amp for signal and remote turn-on
    • 4 AWG Power Wire Kit
    • Hertz HCP1D Class D Mono Block Amplifier (1 x 700w RMS)

  11. I hope David won't mind me quoting this post taken from the GTR forum from a good customer of mine, who is actually a 350z owner, after I sound deadened his GTR. He might spot this post one day :)

While I was on holiday Andy (of R35audio fame) fitted his Skinz and panel liner sound deadening kit to my car (doors, interior, boot) and WOW what a difference.

The doors shut with a lovely "thunk" and the reduction in noise inside the cabin is absolutely amazing.

It has added a significant level of refinement to the car that really should have been present from launch.

A "mod" well worth doing - a top job done by a top guy!

    David

  12. Not a silly question at all. Comes up a lot with the GTR's owners too.

This isn't a solution to exhaust drone. Which in some respects works the other way in that it doesn't really alter a great exhaust note either. In fact, I'd say that at most, it will "take the edge off" a noisy exhaust note. Its more about cabin quality. It makes the ride less harsh, riding ruts in the road better and a little is taken away from all the sounds that come from the car like road noise, gearbox and drive train noise etc. As much as I hate to say it on a sports car forum - it makes it a bit more BMW (runaway). The more you do, the more it works but throwing a pack or two in makes a great enhancement which is really good value.
