  1. I have had nobody wanting to race me how upsetting is that. Ageing I may be but still love doing things as I used to. Love speed and fun on the road don't think I'll ever change

  2. My car is a cat d. Its a 58 plate HR and I got it for £6250 with 37000 on clock. Its was front end damage but no airbags deployed. The headlight washers don't work as probably too expensive to replace but has gone thru 2 MoT's without them working. Never regretted getting it. Drives great and just about to have hfc's and reflash/remap done.

  3. Hi all. I am thinking about getting high flow cats and remap before you say it I have looked around for info and can't find anything definitive so am asking now. What are the likely gains on my HR. I am told the car will feel more responsive and a better driving experience. Anyone had this done already would love to hear your experience of this. Cheers

  4. I have to concede defeat in the discussion over tyres. I have to say that these MPSS makes he car feel totally rock solid even in the rain this morning. They are very confidence inspiring.

  6. Yes that was me giving my new tyres a run. I like to go along the marsh road then the Wartling road and back through Hailsham. I will stick the forum just have to get used to the p*** taking. Is it just me or is this really hard to type on

  7. Well ok I had the tyres fitted. Three separate people checked the wheel nuts. Alignment was done on machine and computer equipment. No complaints whatsoever, and whats wrong with a cat d car anyway. I even asked abbey about it and they said don't let it put you off. I got a 10.5 grand car for 6250 good business I reckon. Handles great with the new tyres runs great so mr Nasty who was having pop at me about going cheap well enough said. We can't all be experts about tyres and I've learned from this. I won't be posting on here again so you can all be really helpful to some other poor critter who dares to ask a question

  8. Well all booked up for this afternoon. MPSS going on and wheel alignment price not too bad £137 fronts £140 rear fitted and wheel alignment thrown in. The bloke who is doing the fitting at kwik fit Bexhill has actually got a Zed so all good. I don't do a whole lot of miles so should last a while. So I figured its not something i'm going to have to do every week and I want to feel safe after what happened.

  9. Chrisday Ekona as you have probably read reckons on the MPSS but as you say the Nissan was designed around the bridgestone. Confused .com. I guess the real issue is though either of them is better than what I have on at the moment. Will be sorting it out tomorrow. I'm now thinking that the cheap tyres more than likely have softer walls and this and the speed and slight braking and turning all at the same time caused the car to wallow. Will report back with the results. Thanks again for all the comments

  10. I am going to get a full set of MPSS. Now just like someones opinion of why the tyres would cause the rear end weave that I had when I was going in a relatively straight line. I may have turned slightly but not much and I did not brake that hard. Trouble is it has made me a bit nervous now it was quite traumatic but just pleased that I managed to pull out of it before it let go completely. I'm even a bit nervous at recommended speeds as i'm not trusting the car.

  11. Well the chances of me doing that sort of speed in he near future is very unlikely on day to day running they feel pretty good done some cornering on them and they feel really stable. I don't drive as yet with traction control off so they will do for now. I will upgrade tho at some point
