  1. Just thrown my zed into ditch didn't I. Absolutely gutted.. however don't think I won't be coming to this. I'll still be showing my face, just slightly damaged and held together with a few plasters.

Thankfully I wasn't going too fast, but I've wrecked the passenger side of the front bumper and thats all apparently.. a good excuse to fit a mean aftermarket piece methinks. However, that won't all be done by Sunday.

Ask me about it on Sunday and I might tell you a story. Might..

    Ah, that's a @*!# mate

    Cars can be fixed

    TC on or off

TC on, though an unexpected patch of gravel/mud and low tread on the rears. Tyres were in for replacement last weekend, but due to issue @ blackcircles, had to be postponed  Only myself to blame.

  3. My front splitter snapped in two earlier today when I 'lightly tapped' a kerb whilst parking. Pretty gutted about it, but I'm looking for a replacement if anybody is selling one or knows where I may be able to get one for a nice price. Must be black, fiberglass preferred, looking like the one in the below link:

I realize I can still bid on the ebay listing, but I'd like to keep my options open, especially if there's one closer to Worcester than Luton!

    Cheers guys

  4. I don't really have an excuse not to come to this one, being as it's pretty local to me. Will be good to get out and meet some new folks :)

  5. Not sure if anybody's come across this before, but for those that haven't there's a guy on eBay going by the name of "emperor-tuning" that has loads of car parts for sale... looks like he's breaking a bunch of Jap cars. I bought something from him and had a really good experience, so if anyone's looking for parts I'd recommend this geeza:

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/emperor-tuning?_trksid=p2060778.m2749.l2754

He's also got a Facebook page where you're eligible to get a photo of your car posted up if you happen to become a customer:

I don't know the guy or anything, but I figured a reliable honest seller was worth a share about.

  6. I've bought myself some cold cathodes to go in the driver and passenger footwells. I have fitted cathodes in previous cars so I know how to fit them, but I'm having trouble trying to find a reasonably ok 12v source to tap in to that could handle an extra 800mA - I'd like to avoid vitals if possible, head lights etc. I'm ideally after something that's close to the dash area in the centre of the car. The only place I've found so far is the rear cigarette lighter (I don't have a passenger one in MY03 model), or the overhead dome light... both seem like a bit of a PITA.

Anybody got any better ideas? Thanks

  7. It does sound very straight forward what you've tried to do. The fact that the wires are getting hot means that there is a lot of current running through them, a lot more than those cables are designed to handle.

Halfway through reading that I did wonder whether there was some sort of resistor, or maybe a small transformer that you've managed to bypass by cutting the connector off. Also, I would imagine there is a fuse in the connector, might be worth having a look what sort of rating that is.

Could there be a short somewhere, or maybe a grounding issue?

  8. Hey everyone. I'm from the Midlands, Worcester to be exact, and I recently bought myself a 350; I've had it about 3 weeks now and I thought it was about time I got myself onto an owner's forum.

I'll admit now that I know nothing about the workings of a car, however I do enjoy driving. My car seems to have seen some good times in the past, so my first task is to repaint the splitter, spoiler, door handles, rear diffuser and the wheels, I should hopefully have that done before spring next year. Maybe then I'll do a bit of interior work... we'll see how it goes, and also how much my bank is capable of.

I get the impression this car may have been here before, but here she is in her current state. Looking forward to joining the forums.
