  2. Thanks, yeah im avoiding cat changes!

If i can get the basics done pre tune, ill probably leave it there in terms of engine mods.

Should have mentioned, full service done. First thing i always do. Years of racing bikes has me dropping oil and plugs probably a bit more often than needed!

  3. From all the searching ive done the general concensus is that even with those mods the tune would be "worth it" and noticeable,  but also happy to hear comments on if you think its a good idea. 👍

  4. Hi

So been foing some work to the z, snd its passed its MOT (yey).

Im thinking about going for the UpRev tuning, probably through Horsham Developments.

Now its an old car (2004 DE) so not looking to overstress it or to try and get some crazy hp, but faster throttle response etc would be nice. Just a general tune really.

    Engine mods so far are:

Cat back exhaust (no idea what make)

    5/16 plenum spacer

Velocity stack on oem airbox (basically a diy version of the later air box)

    Panel filter

Are there any other "basic" mods youd recommend/worth doing before the UpRev tune?

    Let me know

    Thanks

    Nik

  5. Hi all.

Took a punt on a set if these as they were only £23 in plain black.

JINGLINGKJ Hood Struts for 350Z Fairlady Z Z33 2003-2008 Front Bonnet Gas Dampers Lift Supports Modify No Drilling TWO YEARS WARRANTY https://amzn.eu/d/8LgJtzd

Gotta say, well impressed. Fitted in minutes, reasonable quality, and bonkers cheap. Plain black looks OEM too.

Anyone thinking of putting bonnet struts on, i definitely recommend so much easier when checking things, filling fluids etc.

  6. Thanks, I'm based in the Forrest of Dean.

I'll have a look at meets definitely.

I used to love going to them back in the day. I used to be a member and moderator sor SOX about 20 years ago!

Even did japfest with my old CRX!

  7. Thinking of refurbing the wheels in a satin black, black door handles and badges.

And trying to decide if revup tune is worth it.

Just ordered a throttle controller (i know they dont 'do' anything but i want it for the eco mode only)

  8. Hi

Its fairly standard, well was until about 3 weeks ago. Failed MOT on a rusty brake pipe, but when i went to change it i wasnt happy with lots of stuff so now has:

Full set of Tein shocks front and rear with lowering springs.

    Ultra racing front lower brace

    Ultra racing rear W brace

    Braded brake lines

New sway bars front and rear with poly bushes.

    5/16 plenum spacer

Velocity stack in airbox and panel filter

    20mm/25mm wheel spacers

Grams front lip (not fitted yet)

Want to keep it looking standard ish.

Needs some TLC on the body work, thats the next job after the MOT.

  10. Hi all.

I'm in Oxfordshire at the moment but also spend time in Liverpool.

New headunit went in a treat thanks to the how too's on here. How on earth does something as pants as the Bose weigh so much!!! Lol. Speakers will be next to go.

Just got a garmin nuvi 55 which fits perfectly in the cubby hole too.

    It's all very exciting. Lol
