  1. I think the replacement socket is around £85 from Nissan plus fitting. I haven't got round to replacing mine yet.

Struggling to speak to anyone at Nissan that can give me an answer, been put through to about 5 different customer service lines and no one has a clue.

  2. I have exactly this problem. I'm 6'3 and nearly 16st. My seats arnt worn or squashed, there simply isn't enough padding between the hard metal bar and your legs.

Any time I've driven it for over an hour I get out with 2 dead legs. I've always assumed being so tall doesn't help, having to sit with my legs splayed adds extra pressure I think.

Yes exactly this - any more than 30 mins and it feels like an ache and if it's a long journey the pain stays for ages

  3. I had a 350z and I thought they were some of the most comfortable seats ever. I could drive for hours and hours and it always felt really supported.

I read up lots about a 370z and everyone was saying they seats were uncomfortable (compared to a 350z) and I certainly noticed the difference, I found them uncomfortable at first. However, I've played around with the seat so many times and I've got it about right.

Something that may help you.... When I was trying to get the seat right, I discovered a small lever half way down the side of the seat (so to the left of your chest) and turing this level increases/decreases the support right in the middle. If it's fully turned then it can feel like something is digging in your back and then if it's turned the other way that's when I felt it didn't offer enough support.

My lever is pointing upwards and towards the windscreen. if you looked at it from the passenger seat, it would be between 10 and 11.

Give that a go and see if it helps.

Thanks, the back isn't too bad for me it's purely the bar on the right and the electric seat bit that just digs in.

  4. Yes it seems to be a metal bar on the right and on the left it's the electric seat buttons that dig in. Passenger seats seems less uncomfortable and more padding - mines only done 30k and seats are pretty immaculate. I'll have a look around for an upholsterer to see if they can add padding for a fee that won't make my eyes water

  5. Hi all

Does anyone else have a problem with the 370 seats.

The metal bars at the side of the seats dig into my hips and it seems there is absolutely no padding on the bars other than the strip of leather.

I'm 6'3 and 18st, so I'm not small but haven't had trouble in any other car, including my 350z and a 6 hour journey to Nurburgring in an ftype.

    Anyone??

  6. Just paid £979 must have missed the deal :(

Anyway - is there a way to find out an exact delivery date? (I know it says 5 days) I've got my car booked in at h-dev and this may as well coincide with fitting the exhaust so I'll probably have to move it.

You should have messaged Adrian to find out. Hope you haven't wasted £80.

To be fair I ordered it after a few beers after watching videos for the past week. I probably wouldn't have ordered until after Christmas without the Dutch courage. Also turns out I bought the 350 version as well. Think I'll keep off the forums on a Friday night..

  7. Yeah it's when i turn sharply or go over a small driveway curb (1 inch) makes a noise but also I can feel it through the steering wheel as if I've hit something.

The banging in the middle seems to be a lot better once it's warmed up, it's horrendous on a cold start - hoping it's just something needs tightening

  8. No idea bout the scraping, but whereabouts on the exhaust is the rattling coming from? If it's towards the front/middle then it could be the heat shields on the cats rusting off? Happened to mine, so it would rattle at low RPM. I used some jubilee clips to secure it on, until I save the funds to get HFCs.

Yeah I think it's about the middle - it's actually worse than I first though after driving it yesterday it's louder than the exhaust half the time and it sound like I'm driving a completely broken car

  9. Hi All,

    I've just purchased a 2009 370 GT Edition, I previously owned a 350z before moving to an E92 M3 and then a 320d (don't ask).

I had a quick few questions as I always have when getting into a new car and you start to hear all kinds of different noises.

The most pressing concern I have are the noises at low speed - when pulling in and out of the drive etc there is a kind of scraping, but it doesn't look like anything is anywhere near actually scraping the floor.

The second is at idle and low revs there is a lot of rattling coming from the exhaust it sounds like and tends to go away when under harder acceleration - unless I just can't hear it over the engine!

I've done a few searches and heard a few rattle problems but all seems to be when at 4k revs plus.

My first guess would be something is slightly loose and when the exhaust is cold its rattling more than usual and at the low speed i can hear it more clearly + sound bounce back from the side of my house on the drive.

The scraping thing I have no idea what it is - is this a common problem?

Might just take the car to Horsham, get a service and a general check over for peace of mind..

    Thanks,

  10. Hi All,

I have a quick question about insurance and declaring modifications and the specifications of the mods.

I have a 350z and the only modification is a scorpion catback exhaust.

I didn't even realise it had the exhaust when I bought the car through BMW and insured it without knowing through Churchill for £450. I have just rang them and explained the situation and they are asking me what performance gains it added and the lowest bracket they have is 10% and under. This added a further £349 to my insurance premium, I couldn't tell if she was joking or not.

Is there even a performance gain from the exhaust and should I be looking for a new insurer?

I am 26, 4 years NCB, live in a very low crime rate area and the car is parked on a gated driveway.

    Thanks,

  11. One other question I have is, There is a scorpion exhaust fitted atm which sounds quite nice, but I miss the exhaust popping from my 335i is there something I can change in my set up to get that popping back, I drool for it.

  12. I have mainly made this post to try and keep track and maybe put some order into what I am doing with my Zed. I am generally poor at all mechanical and DIY things (too much force, not enough patience). Therefore I will probably go to a few specialists garages such as Horsham and maybe bore them with 50 questions while they work on my car.

A lot of the first things I want to do, mainly because I've come from a new BMW 335i is to refresh the look of the car, I had sort of forgotten what it was like to have dated materials such as scratches, paint chips and wear.

ALL Pictures are from the same camera and same upload, not sure why some are bigger than others and some are stupidly small - at this moment in time they will do though.

335i pics - just for fun

    v1CL2h.jpgCcXzng.jpg

    In some maybe possible order:

Driver & Passenger Leather seat revive - 50% done

Nissan Badges swapped to Z - Done

    Headlight fogginess removal - Done

Interior deep clean and revive - 25% done

Window switch door card - Done

    Rays sprayed black - Door

    Cubby hole latch scratches

Metal kick plates installed - Done

Full Service at Horsham P3 Service - Done

Full detail - Thinking it may not be worth it until after winter now, or maybe one now and one after winter?

Install after market double din head unit Pioneer

I'll keep adding to things I want to do because there is more and keep adding pictures for each.

Z badge back can't really see it properly but I'm sure you've all seen what a Satin Z badge looks like, thanks Asad.

  13. I would ask a decent garage to do a P3 service for you. I would be worried that the last 3 were done by Halfords.

At the same time get the belts changed, all fluid inc gearbox and clutch. Then you know for sure it is all ok going forward.

I think I am if only for peace of mind, how much we talking for all of that?

  14. Hi do you have a picture of the Mats, condition wise? I'm based in reading

Good condition. No holes or anything. Welcome to come have a look prior to buying.

Where abouts are you in Reading?

Could you post a picture of them and a price for collection not post and i'll let you know asap.

    Thanks
