  1. Another small update. Managed to put her in for a service and to get my coilovers fitted around 3 weeks ago. What a difference! The car handles better, the comfort is fine and the car sits a lot better too. 8gufnjM.jpg?1SheN6NS.jpg

Just need some spacers and thinner tires to fill the arches properly. The car had an MOT Saturday and she aced it, no advisories :teeth:26HmX7L.jpg?1

Then I took her to Cruise Culture and was fortunate enough to get on the stand with Team Osaka at the last minute!

Managed to get a few pictures and I'm sure you'll all recognise the orange Z.

Team Osaka won the 'Best Stand' award and I'm sure you can see why :)

  2. Just paid £609 at 22 years of age. Very pleased.

I'm assuming no cars drive in the South of Wales to be that cheap.

    Not quite!

Fair few Z's around here now, always nice to see.

  3. Nice Z!

I use the Autoglym wheel cleaner and it's not 'that' good. Saw something on Facebook about 'Merlins Blood' which looks to have a similar purple effect whilst cleaning wheels so maybe I'll give this a try!

Would love to see some pics of the GTR exhaust, still got mine that needs to be done!

  4. Small update, nothing really new to report.

Changed the front discs and pads since the car had a mild-violent shaking at speed whilst braking. Was good for a month or so and now it seems to have come back. Assuming it's the rear's that need replacing now but I don't see how 2 discs could have been warped in 3 months :yuck: :yuck: It's not even like I use the car for drifting, it's my daily so it's always driven sensibly!

Bought some servicing stuff, oils, filters and picked up a slave cylinder as well, so those are on my to-do list!

    The best news of course;

    I bought some MonoPro's!

After a bit of frustration from Driftworks, I originally ordered the Dualtech's, due to be in stock and shipped on the 8th of June. I emailed them on the 9th asking if they had dispatched them and they responded something along the lines of 'we've had our shipment but not enough to complete your order. We can offer you the MonoPro's for an additional £100.'. Not ideal as I've read that the MonoPro's can be a harsher ride but I jumped at the chance anyway.

Can't wait to get them done and I still need to get my exhaust fabricated.

    Thanks!

  5. This car was written off this year.

I have picture evidence to prove it. It was originally a friend of my brothers but was rear ended.

I'll try and get information on it and report back to you.

    EDIT:

    Quick pic, waiting for information.

  6. The r35 wont be a straight fit buddy it needs chopping shorter in width, with new bends formed, followed by a tip of your choice. The r35 is a lot wider car than the Z. My son had his fitted earlier this year, the sound is awesome. B):p

Yeah that sounds about right! Would love to get some burned blue tips!

  7. Evening.

Not much to report over the last few months.

Clutch went something like 4 weeks after buying the Z so that set me a back a fair bit, had some trouble with the crankshaft sensor but it had appeared to fix itself after a few weeks too!

I manage to pick up a carbon vent for the FB and installed that around 6 weeks ago, love it!

And I picked up a GTR exhaust which I need to get fitted, although I'm tempted to try it myself (never welded a thing in my life!) to potentially save some pennies.

Other than that I've detailed the Z once or twice but with winter well and truly upon us, my motivation to detail it is non existent.

Also intend to pick up a V2 rep front bumper in the next month or so and get that sorted in January but we shall see.

  8. Hi,

If anyone ever needs any help with insurance then please feel free to drop me a line.

    Regards,

    Dan.

Is it worth protecting a ncb ?

Depends on how much it costs IMO. Typically means that you can have 2 fault claims. Can cost just a few quid protect your NCB

  9. I had an MX5 stolen from outside of my parents house 2 years ago, the address the car was kept on my policy was 15 miles away. They still paid out. It's just where the car is kept the majority of the time, insurance companies can't expect the car to be at the same address for 365 days a year. What happens if you're staying at a hotel and it's stolen from their car park?
