  1. According to those scematics, there are indeed two heater pads per seat.

Checked all the cables and connectors, fine. Will be checking the fuses and relays at the weekend.

I dropped my seat height adjustment down to the lowest and lo and behold a little heat was felt, not much, I think!

I need to go for a longer run to check tho'. I was only in the car for 5 mins

I've read it's supposed to be that the low setting on the switch does bum only and high does both.

  2. @ilogikal1

He did, and I'm after a little deeper digging cos my car is so unused, not to say that there couldn't be a fault.

Considering there aren't many of these cars Ive seen around where I live, I don't know anyone with one, and there's not a lot of UK spec info about, (I can't find it if there is, apart from here and my manual), I can't really see how you're helping me.

Why not just post something like "My seats heat up in the arse." Or "My seats don't heat up in the arse."

    That would help me.

  3. Isn't the switch a 'rocker' 3-way switch, middle=off then the other settings are both seat and back or seat or back only? IDK I never even tried mine

Y it seems to be mid-high. Works well in mine, just not for my bum.

Going to check the underneath loom in the morning when its light. Only tried them again today after a year.

  4. Cheers @Ebized,

I've read lot about the rear not heating, or cutting out. Strange that it's both sides. Opposite in this case.

Is the seat supposed to heat is what I need to know. Hmmmm. Can't find anything on the 'net. Need an owner to answer please ;)

BTW, the switch is high/low heat I'm certain.

  5. Cheers 'BodyMan,

They are both working but only heat your back. They get nice and hot too.

I'm just not sure if its supposed to heat my bum aswell ???

    Is it ?

    EDIT:

The USA 350Z '08 manual states that only the seat heats up, not the backrest... Now I'm confused !

  6. Hi Z'ers,

My 08 GT - leather heated seats....

Only the backrest gets warm on both driver and passenger side. Is this right?

Its been that way since I bought it 2 years ago @ 9500 miles.

Is the seat supposed to heat aswell? If yes, what should I look for.

Can't find anything in the manual.

I take it the 2 step switch is low/high heat too?

    Cheers in advance :)

  7. You'll have to burn it into a proper CD

Thats right, although I havent tried it myself. The bose head unit isn't a multimedia player, just bog standard.

They must be burned to a prooper audio cd - the correct file format would be .cda (Compact Disc Audio), but requires the correct header file to index the tracks. Try a program called CDBurnerXP. Its very good

    B)

  8. J4C,

(Presume you're not using copied discs)

Seen loads of failed optical drives that can't read/write due to the lens losing focus... ( from the laser emitter (reflected from the disc surface) and back to the receiving lens).... usually because of wearing on the tracks that the lens runs up and down. You had it on the Playstaions a lot years ago and get it in cheap PC drives a lot.

Take it out and replace it with either the same or a more up to date unit.

    OR

Get one of those cassette things with an AUX input that runs audio through the tape heads.

That will knacker your cassette player within 6 months too. Then you'll have to replace it :D :D :stir:

  9. ....Under the cover for the spare wheel. Got a very slight squeak coming from the rear of my 350... sounds like its coming from the interior.

Found this and the bracket is fairly loose. Might be the source of the sound, but...

What is it? Alarm sounder ??

  10. Hi all,

'08 350Z GT / 12,700 miles is due for service. Only had 11 months and its time for my first Z service and MOT.

Can anyone recommend a decent Nissan dealership in Birmingham - I'd rather have the Nissan stamp in the book.

Now with the MOT.... I've read the sticky regarding brake testing on rollers. Anything else I should be aware of if I take it to my local garage for a MOT ??

    Cheers in advance

    :)

  11. You say you have a bubble in the dash vinyl next to the clocks, has your speed cluster been vinyl wrapped because that face of the clocks is silver plastic. If it's been wrapped use a craft knife to just puncture the wrap and after applying heat (you could get away with a hairdryer) push the wrap down.

A switch blanking plate should be available from any Auto electrical supplier.

Don't see why an import switch shouldn't work.

No its below the windscreen on the dash, just in front of the air vent.

    Any ideas ???
