To FI or not to FI Its expensive but it may be worth it, It'll likely take me atleast a year or longer to save for FI so we'll have to see how impatient I grow! Might just get a front end respray, fit the brakes and have her detailed for now, see how long that holds my Zeditus for!

As with all of my cars I like to increase power from standard, Until now all of my cars have been turbo'd so with Exhaust, Intake and small hardware adjustments I would see HUGE gains from a remap. However the Zed is a very different animal and there are a number of versions, Now I'm a bit noobey so help me out there. I have the 2006, Single Intake, I think its the DE engine thats classed as Revup. I've been religiously checking the oil but it doesn't seem to be using any currently (maybe I'm lucky) Anyhow because Nissan sold my version for all of 12 months threads on modifying are not as common as Stock DE and HR threads so I was wondering. Has anyone Uprev'd a Revup? I mean stock they are supposed to be 297? Which is about as high as most tuners and modifiers are achieving with the basic mods on DE motors. I was looking to do the usual, Plenum spacer, Exhaust system, Intake and any various other items but I'm starting to wonder if because its 'Revup' already that maybe those items will make little to no difference and I should just save for FI (supercharger) and sit pretty until that time... Sorry if this has been asked before I did have a brief search

I kind of understand but its not why I bought my Zed. Saw Jables one a few years ago when he had the azure and was blown away by the colour and the paintwork and how it sounded. Always had a soft spot, however since then I've been through a number of cars and I kept looking at 2 seater sports car reviews and the 350Z just kept getting the best reviews 'Drivers Car' 'One of the best priced sports cars' etc. So thats what finally sold it to me! Never had any hate however, however mine is totally and utterly stock. Wonder if its a modified car thing?

I was sat there thinking that some ape mechanic had ripped you off. Amazing, I went once in an old MK3 Golf. Amazingly they didn't rip anything off the VDUB but we gained 3 magnetic GB stickers from other cars. I watched the monkeys chew peoples sealant and rubber seals around windows and sunroofs to bits. Never would I take my car in there, your a brave man.

My Mrs car which is slowly becoming "my daily" Is a 1.4 petrol seat Ibiza. Average fuel economy over 2000 miles is 52mpg. I'm very frugal though and never exceed 65 on the motorway. If I was to do it again I'd go the old PD100 1.9TDI Seat Ibiza. Used to do 150 miles before we needle would move from full. Miss that car!

I'm with AMT on this one. If I'm pottering around it will go into the highest gear possible. Although I have no idea if that's bad for the car.

If I had that sort of cash to splash I'd be looking at the MD system Wasso and others mention However remember this is your Zed. Your the only person who has to like it! Super loud Zorsts are not my bag anymore however I understand the appeal. If I was looking that way I'd go Titanium!

Welcome, I've had my Zed about 3-4 months so far. Unless the clutch is depressed at idle this is the loudest stock clutch I've ever owned. Theres a distinct noise when its not depressed. Is this what your referring to?

Personally I think this will be of more value once you have had a proper conversation with Jez to discuss your impressions and see what he has to say. +1 He wont be offended or insulted, He'll be concerned. A mappers reputation makes them on forums like these so I'm sure he'll help you.

I was having a quick look at my car, Looked down and noticed the two belts that run across the front of the engine are cracked. Constantly living in fear that something is going to go wrong I'm going to order new belts, However I have a few questions. 1. What are these Belts? Aircon? Alternator? 2. Found a thread by ZMANALEX where he was selling belts. Updated that but now I don't have permission to view the threads, the forum or the user! 3. Where else should I get them from? Any helps appreciated

I hate people in 'Normal' cars, Theyre all a threat in my eyes. If your in the wrong lane, Just follow it off, Turn around and come back?! Why be a total tit and risk an accident. But then I suppose everyone's not as considerate as us enthusiasts!

I own a Revup because... Well I was desperate to get rid of my old car and didn't do any research. Thankfully mine has done just over 2000 miles and still has 100% (Or atleast it appears 99.9%) of the oil that it seemed to have the day I got it. However I'm keeping my eye on it... Like a hawk! Not sure how much the Revup can be tuned? Or if its even worth it?

All I know is the sound it makes. And thats bloody divine!

Ah major bummer, I just got enough in my budget to go level 3. Are you winding this down for good? Or just for now? I don't mind waiting but obviously if this is for good do you know a reputable trader? I don't fancy like making my way through a bunch of LED's like in previous cars.

I have the same noise. I was really worried. Touch wood I've been okay so far and I've driven her pretty hard for three months. My first gear also sounds super loud, anyone else get loud whine in first. Sent from my One using Tapatalk

Sorry to hear this brother. My father used to love Driving and he had to hand his license back. It made him very sad for some time. However he's been seizure free in the daytime for some time now so he's allowed it back.
