I know a muffler isn't a decat ffs
I demufflered my old B6 S4 and it sounded great but system on it had no resonator only Y pipe so it sounded like a herd of wild bastards on the beans.
All I'm asking is has anyone removed the rear muffler(backbox) etc and kept resonator and cats obviously
-
Am i being a cheap bastard, why yes i am...
Has anyone else gone this route ? Im guessing exhaust is resonated

The tips, where are you buying them from mate ? Im demufflering my HR zed and wan't something abit more aggressive looking than stock
-
Not heard of any issues tbh over here, afew japanese imports have trouble on 95 octane like Subaru Legacy B4's etc, the older models
Oh well not much i can do besides spending a fortune on octane booster

Standard unleaded is fine in HR models ?

Opted to go look at the HR saturday, wish me luck
Will post pics if i buy it

Either would be a keeper, my main bugbear is the milage and the not having the HR motor, 3k is nice but afew years down the line a car with 55000 miles less would be alot easier to sell.

Basically im looking at two options.
2006 Nismo with 90000 miles for 7000 euros https://www.donedeal...dition/13063561
2007 350z with 34000 miles for 10000 euros (No link for this one, it's a black HR engined example)

Hi Guys
Thinking of going to look at a 2006 Nismo tomorrow and i have afew questions you might be able to answer
What does the Nismo get that the standard model doesn't besides the bodykit and rays wheels ?
Will a 2006 Nismo have the DE or HR engine ? Im under the impression the HR didn't come out until 2007
What kinda milage are 350z good for if well miantained ?
Thanks a bunch lads

Yea i think a last edition 2007 version GT 350z would be my preference but might have to wait afew months if i wanted to stretch to one.
I just want a big lazy cruiser

Welcome aboard Jim. Can't believe the cost of tax though!
Yea its 1294 on my ST.
1300 quid to tax a bloody focus hence thinking of upgrading to something to make the loony tax worth it

Jim Here from Galway just nosing about.
Noticed this section is fairly quiet, just thought i would say hi
How are you guys finding your Z's for
Insurance
Tax (ugh)

Coping with Irish roads (GT version would hold up better i guess)
Anyway nice to meet you all, if ye have a meet this year or next year i will come along for a nose about and to ask some noob questions.

Hi all,
Basically im here to learn as much as i can about the 350z (2007 model) as im thinking of selling my Focus ST (also 2007) and buying one instead of spending 2-3 grand getting my ST to stage 3 300bhp or so while possibly reducing its resale value.
Im after a purer drivering experience and a better grand tourer that i will use day to day and if anyone on here has made the swap from ST to 350z your imput would be greatly appreciated. Tax here is lunacy on 3 litre+ engines 1900e a year or so but it makes for some great deals like http://cars.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/nissan-350z/5868530 so im thinking of biting the bullet.
Nice to meet you all.
Jim
Thinking of a demuffler instead of a catback on a HR (Thoughts?)
