  1. I took my car to Discskimmers. My issue was that the hub of the wheel wasn't perfectly flat (possibly due to the wheels being refurbed) as well as some pad deposit. Highly recommend you to give him a call as it sorted my juddering issues. He is based just outside of Cambridge

  2. I had extreme brake judder when I was running DBA T2 discs with standard oem brembo pads at Cadwell park. The pads weren't up to the job and left some deposits on the disc.

I had my warped discs skimmed by Marcus at Disc skimmers and he found the hub of the wheel was not perfectly flat which magnifies the issue. He thinks it's because I had my wheels badly refurbed.

Discs skimmed, hubs filed down to be flat and then replaced the pads with DS2500s.  Took it to Cadwell Park again and car was fine all day, not to mention the significant improvement in braking power.

  3. I found that braided brake lines make a big difference. I had fresh rbf600 fluid and hosetechnik lines fitted. improved brake feel a lot, much firmer and little squidge.

    Clarkmotorsport sorted me out.

  4. Great service again. Clutch Slave cylinder ordered and received in about 20hours, Ewen is always happy to provide his experienced knowledge on parts.

Anyone with that clutch pedal issue where it loses half its travel when sitting in traffic/hot days, get the slave + braided hose + Motul RBF600 kit. It's money well spent.

  5. Admiral were cheapest for me. 23 years old, 0 NCB, living in central london, im paying £1000/year.

I find insurance companies care a lot about engine size, Adrian Flux laughed at me and said i had no chance of getting insurance on a 3.5l car because i had 0 NCB. The quote ended up being £3000. I asked him for suggestions, and he said a 1.0l Vauxhall Corsa. Not really sure what they 'specialise' in.

  6. Hi all,

I unclipped my bluetooth module, but can't work out how on earth it clips back in. the 2 bits just don't seem to match....Tried pressing the little button on the side of the holder but didn't seem to do anything....

Know this is probably really straight forward since they are sold as individual parts, can anyone help?

    Thanks,

    Kent

  7. A long overdue post, but visited Sly in December to get parking sensors fitted. I considered a camera option, but have decided to keep my car as original as possible so decided not to get Camera/Screen setup.

Sly reccomended the X Vision system and it works perfectly for my needs (getting into tight spots in Central London).

Can't praise Sly enough with his friendly and positive attitude as well as his knowledge of the cars. No doubt my car will be serviced here in the future.

As a bonus, lots of nice roads/roundabouts on the way there!

  8. Thanks for all your responses. I think the conclusion is to try and get it repaired as i'm pretty strapped for cash. Doesn't help that the culprit did not leave insurance details. I will keep you all posted. Thanks

  9. Just bought my Gunmetal 350z 3 weeks ago and before I got the chance to get it cleaned up and post on here to introduce myself, someone has caught the front right corner of my car and caused a tear in the bumper.

I'm investigating if I can get this repaired though it does not seem likely (pics attached), so I'm looking to see if anyone is looking to sell theirs.

Ideally in Gunmetal grey so I don't need a respray.

    Many thanks,

    Kent
