Im looking for a standard black leather gear knob for my manual 2005 350z. The one currently in my car is damaged (leather scuffed and lacquer peeling from number panel on top). It was damaged when I bought the car and im blaming it on the dolly bird that I bought it from.

Does anyone know where I can source either a brand new standard one or a good conditioned second hand one?

It looks good mate. What grade did you get them done at? I also noticed that your back lights have been tinted slightly, how did you go about doing that? Did you buy a new set or is there something over the counter you can buy to do it yourself?

Im thinking about getting the windows tinted on my 350z but I havent seen any with this done. Has anybody got any pictures of theirs done so I can have a look?

I dont want to get them too dark and end up looking like a drug dealer.

After having a think, the multichanger isn't a necessity, I would be playing music through my iPhone anyway.

If I gave a budget of say around £400 would that help in any way?

Im looking to buy myself a new head unit to replace the Bose standard unit. Im looking to get one which has touch screen and then hook up a reversing camera. I would like to be able to have a multichanger and to keep the steering wheel controls.

Has anyone done this or know how to do this? Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

When driving in to work this morning and noticed that the air bag warning light was flashing. This is the first time this has happened and to be honest im not sure whether it was flashing right from the start of the journey.

I have had a look in the owners manual and it doesnt really say much thats helpful.

I was wondering if anybody else had come across this problem before and how they managed to fix it?

My rear window wiper has got a horrible squeaking coming from it. Its definitely not the wiper blade itself, it sounds more like a motor or a bearing fault or something.

Its annoying as it doesnt make the noise every time so it makes it harder to find the fault. I dont want to go digging down to the motor for it to be another easier fix.

Could always start with some carbon wrap for the strut brace cover and door pillar trims,I did mine, makes a difference and thats less than £30 with some left over?

 

I like the look of this, especially since the original in my car is a little scuffed. Where did you get it? Is it easy enough to fit?

Can anybody recommend any brands of axle stands because there is loads out there and some seem too cheap to be any good?

Does anyone know of common faults relating to the parking sensors on the 350z?

The ones on my 350z just pick and choose when they want to work and its pretty annoying. To be honest I dont particularly need them but if they are on the car I would prefer they did work.

Has anyone else experienced problems or know how to fix them?

Would it be possible to completely remove them and have the sensor holes in the bumper smoothed over?

Would this be worth the cost?

I would appreciate any help.

Cheers mate, kind of thought there would be more to it rather than it just twisting off like on an old van or something.

My paint/lacquer around the numbers on my standard gear knob on my 350z has started to lift and it is annoying me.

Does anybody know where to find a brand new standard one or do you recommend replacing it for an aftermarket part?

Also is it easy enough to replace it yourself? I tried to give it a slight twist off just as a test and it didnt seem to want to move. I didnt want to give it anymore just incase i ended up breaking it.

I didnt want to go buying a random set for them to be unsuitable when there may be a better set out there.

I kind of thought that would end up being the sensible thing to do. Its better to spend the money on the things that count I suppose. Im fairly new to modifying cars so I would be up to any suggestions as to what filter, exhaust and suspension would be the best to fit. I have had a good look through other posts on here but there is that much to choose from you end up getting more undecisive the more you read.

I have been getting a slight knocking noise from the drivers side front suspension. Its usually at low speeds or when driving on poor surfaces such as gravel. I took the car to the garage and they acknowledged that there was a noise but said they could not find any wear or play in any of the suspension components.

If anybody has experienced the same problem or knows of a likely cause I would like to hear from you.

Im looking to start modifying my 350z and I was looking to get some advice on modifications you can do for little or no cash. I am looking into getting the air filter, exhaust and suspension done in the future but sometimes the little things just make the difference.

So if anybody has any ideas or suggestions I would like to hear them no matter how small.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a decent paint shop to get some minor touch ups done to my cars bodywork. It is mostly just scuffs but there is also flaking paint around a wheel arch which has now bubbled with rust. If they could also carry out wheel refurbishment that would be a bonus also. Im from the Dunfermline area so i would prefer it to be localish for convenience.
