Its an 04 - UK car, thanks all for your responses I think I am going to try to find a sympathetic garage that may be able to use what I already have in a bid to keep expense to a minimum.

I only have 1 manufacturers key so I acquired two keys from ebay and 2 new transponders and had 2 blades cut. I have tried to pair the keys with my Z without success, did the old in, out, in out shake it all about the ignition barrel nothing happened, did maybe a dozen or more, nothing!! The blades are ok, they turn on the ignition but cannot get the pairing procedure to start.

What am I doing wrong? Have I got everything to be able to pair the new keys? Would like full functionality with the DIY key. Have heard of other success with other DIY but am doubting now whether it is possible.

Can someone put me out of my misery is it possible or not, or will I have to bite the bullet?

Hi Simon I am in Worcester so will need a fix closer to home, however heard good things about the Kenwood before so thanks for the extra heads up on this.

I have an 04-350z What stereo head units can be recommended to replace the original without affecting the steering wheel volume controls or handsfree mobile capability.

Can anyone recommend a retailer/installer.
