  1. Not many black ones around for that price :( If possible I was hoping to include my insurance in my £10,000 budget. Given that my insurace is going to be about £1,000-£1,200 I'm looking to spend between £8,000 - £9,000.

Good luck getting a black facelift for 9k. I too want a facelift, can afford it, but the extra in tax and initial outlay is really off putting. Unless I can pick one up for a bargain price of 8k then pre facelift it is for me too.

Probably a "how long is a piece of string question" but how much would you, out should you be winning to negotiate off of trade poor private buys?

Sorry I don't understand your question

  2. After a bit of insurance research it seems that the pre facelift is a lot cheaper to insure than the facelift version. This is making me sway more towards pre facelift. Also, suprisingly, I found that the GT4 is cheaper to insure than a standard model.

I think it might be the GT4 for me, however, from searching on the internet it seems there aren't many for sale which isn't suprising due to the limited numbers.

    The search goes on.......

  3. Wrapped cars rarely look as good as painted ones, the wrap will cost you the best part of what a respray does as well. If you like that one, why not swap the seats out for something else? :)

    +1

The Alzean and black looks lovely in my opinion.........piccies rarely show Alzean off in its best light. Its really not that bad - personally I prefer it to black leather

Yeah, I'll definitely look into viewing one in the flesh. Were black and tan the only original options or were there others?

  4. I think it might be worth my while going to view some with the tan interior to get a feel for it in the flesh.

Also, what are your opinions on having the car wrapped in black rather than specifically setting out to buy a black one. The way I see it is:

    - This will give me more of a selection

    - Help bring the initial cost down

    - Any existing marks in the paintwork wont be a problem

    - The wrapping wont chip as easily as the paint

Would this be a good option or are there any major drawbacks that would render this idea pointless?

  5. Ricey: Yeah I did see Cragus' car then and agreed it is stunning. As you mentioned though, it was out my price range and I'd like to avoid modifications to keep my insurance as low as possible. The car on autotrader also looks good, would I get something similar for cheaper?

KyleR: What do 06 facelift's usually sell for?

  6. Thanks for the quick responses guys, it's comforting to know that people are willing to chip in and help on this forum.

Ricey: I've been looking through the for sale section recently, I may have seen Cragus' car previously, can you post a link to the thread? I know it's sold but seeing some pictures and advert information may help.

DannyBoy: The GT4 is something I am aware of but don't know much about. Can you explain it a bit more to someone like me?

Coldel: Agreed on keeping it clean but hopefully if I get the right car this is something I wont grow to hate. I like your sig, I'm assuming this is the car you own. Can you give me some information on your purchase and possibly some advice?

  7. I'm fairly new to the site and have mainly been a reader, I thought it was time to post as I am now serious about buying a 350z. Realistically, it could be another few months before I find the one I'm after but I am willing to be patient.

I've been looking around several websites for the past 2 months now to try and get a feel for the market and the car. These are some of my preferences:

    Budget: £10,000 (max)

    Year: 2004 onwards

Mileage: Not too fussed unless it's something crazy

    Version: GT

Colour: Black (this is very important to me)

Interior: I'm not a big fan of the tan interior, I'd ideally want black leather

I'm aware of the facelift versions from 2006 onwards but I'm not desperate for one of these (unless anyone can convince me otherwise) Black is the only colour I am after and I'd like the car to have no mods (I only plan on putting black alloys on it).

I just wanted to see if you guys had any advice and also if you could help me critique some adverts that I come across. I feel that your experience will be a valuable asset when it comes to me declaring a serious interest.

First of all, what do you make of these three cars:
