  1. Bet he was buzzing keeping up with an avantador even though he may not have been giving it all if you was chasing a aventador down imagine how exited you would be well I would lol

On the straights its rediculous pulls out 4/5 car lengths in a couple of hundred yards

  2. How, did you go about painting the plenum?

I.e sand or just degrease and clean, did you primer it or just paint and did you use high temp paint?

Think it looks spot on and was going to give it a go but was unsure how to go about it.

  3. I have been having the same problem, with the gap in-between its annoying, would look even better if they married up as you say.

I have found an alternative but its expensive, take a look at siebon carbon rear spats there alot longer

  4. Anyone who isn't tracking it on a regular basis why would you spend silly amounts on brakes. You can't go any faster than anyone else on the streets regardless of power.

Yet people spend £1000's on exhausts, wheels, remaps etc. etc. I don't see the negativity towards an improvement in braking for around the same as a set of 2nd hand LMGT4's. Making the car stop more quickly is surely more worthwhile than 90% of the performance mods people do. Your point about not being able to go faster than anyone on the street is true, so then if you're not tracking your car why not buy budget tyres, discs and pads as these would be perfectly adequate for day to day driving?

When you consider that you can pay ~£1000 for DBA discs and Ferrodo pads all round, another £500 for a BBK doesn't seem that crazy.

  5. already been said here that the OEM filter box is the best for performance

I think you will find that sticking the filter to your front bumper is actually the best :p

I wouldn't be so sure, I have a b-line CAI which sits behind the grill in the front bumperand I lost power.2013-03-29164132600x800_zps821a3a65.jpg

I have not had the car mapped but.. you still wouldn't expect something getting alot colder air to decrease the power by nearly 10BHP

P.S leave my nasty looking engine bay alone please, its a working progress ;)

  6. The thing is, every car is different.

For me I do not no why people still go on about this subject.

On the zed, standard airbox with velocity stack is the best for power, BUT...

on my mates astra vxr he swapped to a piper cross air filter and Gained 16bhp on back to back dyno runs.

why will people not understand this, if a car has a restrictive air feed then you will more than likely gain power, but like on the zed where it is just about as simple air feed as you can get you are probably not going to because it has been designed well.

Also mapping a car will make a big difference.

  7. This is mine with just de-cats fitted, may not be to your taste though by the sounds of it.

In person it has a rasp around 3k then after about 3.5k sounds (without sounding stupid) powerful (even though its not :not_me:) it has a nice grunt to it after 3.5k all the way till the end.

Not the sound where you can tell it has an exhaust on it. Just sounds like its got a 400bhp v6 :D not a 280

A full system is always going to sound better and by the sounds of it that is what you are going to need to get the sound your after or buy motordyne art pipes which have great reviews and are not meant to be raspy but cost £££
