  1. Hey, I'm hoping someone can give me a hand... I have a 2004 350z (GT Pack), and I need help identifying what's causing a weird noise.

    The symptoms:

When applying or releasing pressure from the accelerator I head ticking or clicking noise. It's not a constant noise, it happens maybe once or twice on each occassion. It also occurs when pulling away from stand-still, but happens if coasting along, and then I press on the accelerator. I can't tell exactly where it's coming from (i.e. front/rear etc).

I am not mechanically minded at all, but initially I thought it might be connected to the exhaust (pressing the accelerator would cause more exhaust gases, right?). However, it doesn't happen if the car is stationary, so if I leave it in neutral and press the accelerator it doesn't happen.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

  2. Hi guys, I'm thinking of going for some darker wheels, does anyone have any pictures or examples for me to see?

I have a standard grey body and the rays alloys. I'm getting them refurbished and am considering putting my mark on the car, but don't know how it would look.

  3. Hey guys, just been on a bit of a road trip across the UK and have noticed a new noise and wondered if anyone else has had this.

It's a kind of rattling noise, almost like there's a stone caught somewhere being flung around. It happens mainly in 1st and 2nd gear, particularly while feathering the clutch. It's only really noticeable with the window open and driving next to walls to reflect the sound in - so it's not a major problem, as long as there's nothing majorly wrong.

    Anyone got any ideas?

Edit: corrected thread title, sorry to anyone who posted a deer related pun!

  4. Hi all. I am looking at buying my first zed. Over the weekend I tested two and found one that I'm interested in... However I noticed that the clutch was quite high, in comparison to the other.

I just wanted to check if this is a known or common issue - or if it should be considered a problem?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Cheers!
