i think so i aint had it long but the fuel is killing me with the prices going up all the time might go for 330d next its just a shame i spent all that money on it and then to sell it

thanks i think its a fair price i would keep it but its a bit thirsty and me and the gf getting married so its eating my money as i do 60 mile a day

my clutch doesnt slip, where you say it looses revs, but theres a like a little click when it engages gear

 

tried driving reasonably, to be fair on the run to work you cant accelerate quickly, but still the same, been happening for a few weeeks now

 

nothing run with the pul or engagement of the gear just a little click so im thinking of the pedal being loose

 

anyone heard of this?

 

if not, gonna have to get it looked at when the alloys get refurbed in the spring

well driving mine you would not think the clutch is going it was only when I went to spin it, it reved without doing anything then I realised especially when I could smell burning clutch. then figures started running in my head..

also mine clunks sometimes hopefully with that additive might help it

Earlier zeds are known for having rubbish syncro's and there's been quite a few members who've had rebuilds or had them changed out for the newer boxes.

 

I agree you can drive a car fast without raging it, i'd class drifting as raging a car i suppose it all depends on what you class as driving fast and driving slow. I'd have said if your getting less MPG than a supra then your going a lot of city driving or there's something wrong if your driving the car normally and smooth.

 

What kind of MPG are you getting? Also clutch going could be a result of your poor mpg's?

I not sure what I getting to the gallon I just know the needle goes down very quickly also I do a mixture of town and m way but more town driving. I know these cars are known for being thirsty I always find the v6 engine very heavy on juice compared to the straight 6. i wish petrol was back at 80p be fine then

So you don't drive fast, but not slow. You don't rag your car but it's drinking a lot of fuel. You don't wheel spin but you tried drifting the other day.

contradiction whats that smell like i might try it. i must say 1 drift here and there aint ragin the car thats what there good for aint they. i dont launch the car and you can be a fast driver without ragin it maybe you cant but i can. like when changing the gears i try and do it smoothly instead of hard shifting it into gear.

i not doing 1/4 miles the only time i might use it hard will be on the track

and if the gearbox is something to worry about it cant be a very good gearbox on these?

well at the end of the day you was coming like 1 by making point of replying twice slating it. it might be ugly but it not slow. over it now. the quarter mile he has not tried yet.

the bodykit is a bit big it took us time to get use to it but he wanted it different and there not many kits around for them.

Shouldnt be rougher mat be a little bit noisy at tickover - I have to say I don't notice with my lightweight fly - but I can't hear much above the screams of the SC anyway!

lol thats if i keep the car long enoguh .i dont always drive fast i just dont drive slow but i dont rag the thing and i dont do wheelspins . wouldnt mind trying bit drifting tho thats how i realised clutch was going as i went to drift the thing and revs just rose and nothing happened but driving the car normally seems fine apart from getting bit of a clutch smell coming through now.

i think if i end up selling the car i might get a s2k i think if the petrol keeps bugging me i mean my supra was less thirsty. its a shame because i love the car but i know what i am like i change cars all the time

everyone to there own taste i agree i think the z is really nice but the back has always put me off it 100% needs a spoiler and bottom lip and it makes it look smarter . i dont like the n1 spoiler is it? bit plonked on i like the ones they sell in america that sit on the end

 

 

I'm not that keen on the Nismo V1 either. I prefer just the lip spoiler over pretty much every spoiler I've seen.. That's how I left mine when I kitted it. If we all liked the same thing then the world would be boring.

 

I guess it's just about respecting other peoples opinions and tastes. What one likes another does not and neither party will change the others mind.

i agree there is some better lips then others tho i have seen but all seem to be in america.

Not a big fan of the cars, that one looks like most that have been "modified" as well, overdone IMO - a nice set of rims and some lows are all they really need as they are a pretty car as standard. As others have said though, theres clearly a lot of time and money gone into it and if your old man likes it then

he had it lower but was scraping alot its at its safe hight but it did look better dropped because the stupid arches they made bad design on them

i dont mind critism and trust me its very fast its suprising how fast it goes with only 415b.

i understand that its not everyones cup of tea but trust me it gets much more looks then i get in mine and people love it at shows. i mean i would choose that car over mine any day but i wanted a newer car as they getting older now. i prefer the supras as they easier to tune

i thought i post a few pictures of my dads 96 gto tt

well i all booked in i have ordered the whole chabang from alex who was helpfull and quick to sort out. pocket is lighter now tho and just hope that the garage i taking it to can do the job good as they said they have not worked on 350z yet as up my way there not so many. but the boss owns a s2000 and one of the other guys has a scooby and they have worked on a few track cars. and seen only good reviews .

it's a additive that's put in teh gear box that further lubricates and makes gear changes much much smoother and can make the box last longer.
