Yep. John's serviced my Zed the last two times, very happy with them. Just a bit awkward getting there for such a relatively simple job though.
I'll have a try with coldel's guide.

Nice one mate.
I've saved it as a PDF for easy printing: click.

Have you actually had the top off the gear stick area to check the alignment? I had a clutch change and had the same problem, a quick check some realignment and hey presto all is well again. Worth check properly as it only takes 10 minutes to pull all the covers off and take a look.
Screwdrivers and spanners send me into a cold sweat.
If I can unclip or pull the top maybe I'll take a quick gander when I get back from hols before me op. Otherwise I won't be driving for a few weeks so no biggy if it has to go into the shop for a week or two. Rather save a few quid though if poss.
Thanks for the suggestion.

Only just seen PM. Sorry to be so late replying.

Since my clutch and flywheel were replaced last year, fifth & sixth have been a little notchy or difficult to select. Yesterday, I couldn't select either. I'd assumed there is an H-plate or guide on the top of the box which is misaligned but I now think that's not right. After a bit of experimentation, I discovered pressing the stick a la reverse gear allows easy selection of both fifth & sixth.
Any ideas peeps?
Is it safe to pop it into local Nissan dealer and not get screwed over?

there is a boot release under the rear strut brace From - me being a genius
Which is great unless you have a tonneau cover installed & its impossible to get at
I cassn't find it.

*bump*
Is this still a goer?

I recently bought fronts then rears:
Prices paid were fitted and balanced etc.

Not definitely required, but as it's out, for the cost of a replacement (lightened?) flywheel most do. I certainly did at c. 30k miles.

Also, please add service centre fcm motorsport - member here: Click.

Please add Dyno centre:
North London Dyno, they use a Dyno Dynamics Dynamometer.
Thanks,

I've ordered a set of dials. I can barely be trusted with a plastic spork unsupervised.
Any idea who I should get to fit them? They'll take a few weeks to come over from US.
Let me know too? Ive had a set for 3 month n stillhavnt got them fitted!
Hmmm. Husky had a proper go at fitting these today, but I asked him to forget it and return to normal.
A couple of things; 1. it whines like a bastard, 2. there is either no hole or a massive hole for the revs indicator light, 3. some of the wording/symbols is wrong for UK spec - eg it says BRAKES instead of the brake symbol, 4. way more fiddly than you'd think.
I've decided to go for Husky's 'own' version. i.e. one he recommends and fits, and has done so successfully many times. It's more expensive and not as fancy but it fits and works. Looking forward to it.
One last word; Husky is an experienced and very patient perfectionist - I'd definitely recommend him. Nice one mate.

Unable to add a dyno centre.
You need to let us know the details, we havent let members add them themselves.
Kewlio. It was North London Dyno at the Griff Growl. I left the print out in the office so will scan and confirm 'proper' trading name. Hopefully remember on Monday.

I'm guessing the tunnel may there a while so, next time.

Yep, good to see/met you at the 'assembly point'.
Sorry couldn't make it to the event itself, but more pressing matters closer to home.
Definitely next time.

Excellent - thank you.
In the meantime, I'd tracked down a pdf with similar info. I've popped a copy on dropbox if anyone's interested: Click to download. Thanks to Jun Tanaka.

Hmmm. The instructions aren't detailed: "Remove the gauge cluster from the vehicle/dash". FFS.
I've downloaded the service manual and it says the air bag system must be disconnected first. This sounds as though it may be a bigger job than I bargained for.
