Cheers guys, just didn't want my boot floor to rot or anything

Hi all,
Recently purchased and installed some Cybox short tails (which sound awesome!).
Between 3-4k rpm I've been hearing a small metallic vibration, I suspected what it was all along - the heat shield that sat above the stock backbox.
I removed it tonight and it's much better. I assume it is a heat shield, here is the part I'm referring to:
Do I need this now I'm running short tails?
Here are the pipes as they are now, assuming it is a heat shield the pipes go nowhere near the bottom of the car so it should be OK?
Thanks in advance

Mine will be the standard one!

Did I see you again on the A41 about 2pm yesterday?
-
Yeah more than likely, I've not seen any other white 370's around Wirral so if you see one it's more than likely me!
I'll keep an eye out for you

That's me
Silver 350 by any chance...?

As above I'm at this milage and due a service what should I be doing this time round
If your car is six years old then I would guess that equates to 54,000 mils ( ) so you should be doing everything including plugs and brake fluid
Mine is due for this now Bought the P3 service pack inc plugs and diff fluid from H-Dev for £232 and will get my local trusted mechanic to due it, total cost just over £300

The supplied cable is long enough to route down the A piller, along the door trim and into the AUX socket behind the drivers seat. Its fit and forget, comes on with the car ignition and switches off with it too. The hardest part about the whole thing was buying a Class6 microSD from Amazon to put in the thing
If you would like any pics or footage from the 350z let me know and I'll go into the garage and get some for you.
Are the 12V AUX sockets ignition powered or perm live? I've just installed my dashcam, but tapped into the fuse box in the driver's footwell into an ignition powered fuse!

As far as I know the 3 connections are phono audio (left/right) and video. For 3.5mm stereo AUX input you'll need to get a phono > 3.5mm adapter
...or just use bluetooth!

Welcome, same colour as my first 350!

Looking good bigfoot!
I picked up my Pearl White 370 on Thursday
Now just need to sort a couple of stone chips I found when washing, gah

Hi all,
Noticed that there's two Zeds I see regularly nearby, one is a Sunset and one Silver.
They both live in the Spital area on the Wirral - do they belong to anyone on here?
-
Looks a bit cracked at the bottom?
-
Looks lovely mate! I pick up my second Zed on Saturday....
-
Hi all,
Just put a deposit down on my second Zed today - as part of my checks I noticed the exhaust was blowing at the usual place at the centre section join with the back box. It's actually blowing on the back box side, so the dealer are replacing the back box section.
The centre section however could also do with replacement in the near future, however I can't seem to see any online at the usual places. Does anybody know where I can get a centre section and an approximate cost?
Thanks!

Cool cool
Thanks
I did contact my local nissan dealer 51pounds plus VAT they said
Will try this method
Is this including the new key, or just reprogramming?

I've just tried this mod but only got as far as removing the stereo - the 8 screws that hold the stereo into the (removed) centre console - I had 7 out but I just couldn't get the last one out - tight is an under statement! I also couldn't remove the stereo connectors without detaching it from the centre console either as I need to turn the stereo upsidedown.
So I gave up and put it back together

Surely a cause of the slight judder/needle wobble would be when the aircon compressor+fan kicks in which it will do every couple of minutes?
-
Aye that was me! Only got the Z a week ago so that was her first run out. It's the third Big Breakfast I've been to and they get better every time
Which route did you go home?

Evening, just seen this thread.
I was in the grey GT in the convoy Woody!

Just the one pic so far

Bose doesn't usually work too well but
Welcome
Thanks
And I've heard that about the Bose......

Evening all,
New user/owner - just got myself a 2007 GT - only had it about 5 hours but I love it so far.
The only questions I have at the minute are to do with the Bose stereo - I stuck in a random CD (created from iTunes) from my old car, but it only recognises the first 12 tracks - then it just goes back to track 1?
Also tried an MP3 CD (also from iTunes) - it loads the CD then just sits on track 1 and doesn't play anything!
Anybody any clues? The best soundtrack I've found so far though is the V6
Is this part required?

My nuts were pretty corroded, took my mechanic a good 30 mins to drill them out.
Cybox was good, a lot louder than stock especially on a cold start. Had the annoying reverb between 3-4k RPM too which was irritating, but managed to subdue it by insulating my boot floor. After 500 miles or so it quietened down too which helped. Other than that, pretty good
