not sure if I'm breaking the rules by posting this, so apologies in advance if I am mods (it's for a good cause)...

Someone find me a buyer, and help me fund my zed...

I did mine from scratch, and it worked out loads cheaper than buying a kit, it just took a bit of thinking about!
Mine was only a 1.9 non turbo... Slow was not the word!

You obviously like a mod or 2, so hurry up and get a Zed bought
Haha! What ever gave that away!! I will, but as the deadline is July, I am happy to wait until I find the right car. I am known for being a little picky! I have a number of mods in mind, I just need to decide if I'm going to buy a car that's partially modded or do it myself. At the moment I'm leaning towards a blank canvas.
Plus I have my bathroom to refit first, so that is going to get my attention for a little bit.

I've got a soft spot for T4's. Spent ages modding mine from Van to Camper...
You'll end up spending a load of time on it!!! It will be fun though, and they are a blast to drive around in (a little slow though!). Sorry to clog your thread with my pics, but thought it may give you some ideas! Let me know if you want me to take them down..
Have fun....

Cheers everyone!
Just one quick question that may help me on my way...
Am I right in thnk that there are less mods available for the 313 (sorry I gen up on engine types soon!) - exhausts etc? I think I'll be looking for a true dual set up at some point.
Cheers,
Ian

Cheers everyone, you're a nice friendly bunch...
Those seats look remarkably uncomfortable lol
Oddly they are some of the most comfortable seats I've had! I've done a 2.5 hours journey in them without an ache! I think it's becaus they are so figure hugging.
Are yor intentions to strip out the Z as well?
No, it will get tweaked, but mainly for looks and sound. We're driving to the south of France for my gf's brothers wedding in July, so the aircon definately needs to stay in this one! Especially if I get the black on black combo I want...

I would go black. I prefer the OEM look under the hood. My mates Supra has had a lot of work to make it look stock(ish) in the engine bay. Well as stock as you can be with 600 odd bhp...

Welcome Ian ... will your daily be up for sale?
Yeah shortly. It's just having some finishing touches and tidying up before it hits the track day cars section on Piston Heads. Should make someone a good weapon for some track day/drifts fun.
Thats a fairly serious looking maz you got there.
Cheers, it's been a ball building (or de-building!) it! I bought it while I didn't have a bike, and while I was saving for my house. However, the house is bought this now resides in my garage...
And I fancy a motor with a radio, and some padded seats again!

Just thought I'd say hello. Not bought a zed yet, but I'm furiously looking... Have come from the MX-5 community, and am looking forward to taking my rear wheel drive knowledge to a new level.
A couple of pics of my current daily, so you can see what I'm about...
It's tipping the scales at 888kg, but it's going to go to make way for the zed.
I'm on the look out for either a 55 plate (poss GT4) or a 313 (only really want to pay the high tax if I get the full shebang!). It anyone knows of anything, let me know.
Anyway, that's enough babbling for now!

Hi,
Do you have a link to your photo bucket album, as most of the links appear to be broken. I'd like to see more pics before expressing an interest.
Cheers,
Ian
Refurb'ing two LMGT4's myself....

I did this with a set of Watanabes I had for my MX5. They when from this...
To this...
I used a project pack from Halfords and stepped down a grade over each time the finish got uniform. Finally it was finished off with t cut and then autosol.
I would think about leaving the rims unlacquered. That way if the corrode again you can just polish them up. It you have them lacquered over, any chip/scratch will start worming under the lacquer and you will have to do the whole process over again. A little polish with some autosol when you clean your car will keep them looking loverly!
