Reading between the lines here, the op was driving "2 or 3" tenths of his abillity at the time do you(s) not think that if he had been driving at his normal "7-8" tenths he would have been quicker to react?

whats wrong with standard discs?
nowt just pricey!!
Sorry didnt explain myself, not standard nissan I mean just non grooved and non drilled. Mine are with ds2500 and I dont rag the hell out of my car mainly a DD with a few b roads but never have I experiance brake fade. If your a guy who hammers your car or goes on track I would get something better but if its mainly DD you do a and a b road blast is less then 10mins I think you would be fine no?
They are ok for trackdays and more than up for it on fast road driving,

ok here's my take on ebc discs,
the ring,(8.52 min lap) ebc discs mated with ds3000 pads which got the discs rather hot and i did get pad transfer, no fade, great stopping power! but im sure people have had pad transfer with other more expensive discs,
short circuit,(teeside autodrome) with cheap cooling ducts, no fade and no pad transfer!!
they will be fine for what you use the car for.
-
If your not doing trackdays go for the ebc, you'll be sound
-
Avoid EBC, trust me! General consensus is that DBA are a good mid range option. Thats what I'll be switching to when my consistently shite EBC's get replaced in the next few weeks.
ebc? why not? he doesn't need "mid range" brakes,?

what was the problem??????
