06+ airbox the one with the bigger trumpets inside bought this of ebay a few months ago, sold the car last week as i never used it. i tried the 2 car route as i need 3 seats in back but found i never used the z .so i bought a subaru impreza at least i get to drive it. anyway i took a few bits off before it went, looking for 75 quid collection preferred or i could meet you half way please email with any questions.

depends what the route is like going to work, stuck in rush hour traffic aint my idea of pleasure no matter what i was driving

It's nice to have the options though

 

For me my situation was the opposite.

Baby came and wife had a mini and me a zed.

 

That meant the mini is my weekend car and only really use the zed to and from work

But the zed is my only oasis of sanity.

Work is hard and long, and save the weekends for family.

Love the kid to bits but no more socialising, no going training, home cinema/stereo always on ultra low vol, even detailing the zed at night now using halogens on the drive

 

What I'm getting at is if your gonna be working and driving long and hard, a diesal may leave a few grand in your pocket but you'd be spending hours sitting in a car pining for a zed. Alot of driving means spending MORE OF YOUR LIFE IN A CAR so surely the zed choice would be even better "value" in the "pound per wear" sense.

You even told me you missed your in car sounds and didn't put anything decent in the fiesta as it didn't deserve it.

forget the fuel costs i would be more worried about running costs , tyres clutches etc plus depreciation if your doing that mileage a year i would get a cheap diesel . a zed aint for going to work in.

soyou think the speaskers have blown i might just replace them if thats the case.

When I got my jdm the rear speakers didnt work too, on investigation both had blown coils so needed replacing with new units(dont know why). Spend what you like..£25 to £100's I bought some for anot£50 and am really pleased with the sound......So my advice is to take the speakers out and measure to see if you have any resistance across the speaker coil if not replace....maybe it may help!

ive played with the fade theres no sound mines a uk the sound aint that good now.

I thought mine didn't work either until I adjusted the balance and fade options (it's a JDM but with an after-market stereo). To be fair, the speakers still don't put out a lot of volume.

Yes Neil your right, mine didn't work either.... so I bought a new zed and these ones sure do work..

yes ive checked the fade etc.

im sure paulies was the same? i may be wrong.

 

have you checked the balance and fade in the stereo options?

tried a search but nothing any ideas to why my rear speakers are not working, i have normal not bose speakers many thx

after a centre console in carbon fibre if anyone got one at the right price

mines nearly 5 yrs old and puts out nearly 300 at rs tuning , give it a good service mate that might help.bring out the hp

You recently posted your dyno report, I wouldn't be too upset about those figures mate.

 

5 years old - I guess is the 276bhp model - if you are producing 254 at the fly - surely that's only a loss of 22bhp. You will lose horses for sure - and the exhaust won't deliver a great deal.

 

The torque figures are good - mine was 240 torque before my mods and I'm a 297bhp model, so I'd be pleased with that. It could be worse - some people lose barrell loads of power!!

 

it was 276 but been upped to 300 thx to rs tuning, i change my oil regular so see what mobil is like and go from there. looking at the searches on the 350 site in usa they say mobil 0-40w in the de engine is good . i ran mobil 0-40 in my audi and it was superb but will see.

i have the de engine 300hp i ve heard mobil 0-40 is good for these engines so ive gone for that see how we go.

what oil are people using on here? im using 5-30 castrol magnatec but due for a change, its been using a bit so im thinking of a different one.

any update on what hp youre getting after the service

i will get it remaped but hoped to get a remap and be up there not get it remapped to make standard lol

 

i have a k and n typhoon on the way to me, i already have a scorpion exhaust, i will look into gettin a y pipe and decats what do you do about the light that will come on ya dash form the lamba sensors??

i got 11.5 extra when i had mine fitted but i also had a gt airbox fitted.

What sort of improvement can be achieved by this spacer. There are lots of claims about these spacers, however to gain more power you need to burn more fuel and air. To gain any real advantage I would expect a remap would be required to achieve anything like the claims made.

 

Anyone fitted one and noticed any improvement?

i recently fitted a plenium i have 06 airbox with k&n filter managed 295 at rs tuning in leeds from 270 a few months back standard.

Had the uprev,plen&drop in filter from abbey,9bhp gain,you do notice it&im pleased with results,i may be wrong but i dont think your get 300bhp unless you change the cats/decat&new system,still think you may bay 5 or 6bhp short
