Solved!
Thanks to Buster's topic.
Have any one had problems with connecting/programming of the steering wheel controls?
My loom has three wires (white, red and black) which I've connect accordingly to the Key1, Key2 and the black wire.
Every programmed button (ie. volume up) acts as if it was programmed to change the track/station to the next...
The learning application in the HU shows that all, apart of the phone pick up, buttons were programmed correctly. And in the end they do the same action.

Update:
Has anyone have an idea what to do with the Audio jacks from the ICT loom (Red/White and Yellow/Black) when staying with the OEM speakers?
The HU hasn't got sockets for such RCAs...
Picture borrowed from Aftershox's awesome guide.

Very nice!
Enjoyed watching and waiting for more.

I think it was a brown cable on mine coming from the SWC box, opposite end to which loom plugs into. Yours looks slightly different but you should still have a couple of free wires coming from the box. You can connect 1 to key1 and the other to key2 if you like, but I found mine works fine just connected to one.
Big thanks.
Two days of struggling with the puzzle and nothing, two hours here and half of my problems solved. Thanks!
Two more questions are on my mind right now:
1. Where to get the wire colour coding diagram for a Bose 2007?
2. What to do with this when I stay with my old Bose speakers?

Not a huge fan of the mesh...
Can't wait to see the lip mounted.

This, and the wire on the head unit loom marked 'key 1' connects to the SWC control box.
Thanks for the info.
Only one cable? What about Key2? Which cable should be connected with the Key1 wire?
-
Thanks for the reply.
Last pic loom connects to Nissan loom via the two white plugs, then the loom in the second pic should plug into that (or you need to find a plug that fits into the first loom and then match all the loose wires accordingly)
I was thinking about soldering them toghether (like here).
Do you know where to get the colour code diagram for a 2007 Z?
The loom with the RCA plugs should go into the HU and then you can route them to an aftermarket amp.
What if I want to stay with OEM Bose speakers?
I can't see from the pics, but does the HU have a jack to plug SWC into?, If it doesnt have one, then it won't work.
Negative, no jack input, but there are two Key1 and Key 2 cables, was wondering about soldering them together, but I'm not sure will it work and how to check which cable is the correct one. Any clues?

I like that, do you get actually end up with things like, revs, temp, speed (real time data) etc displayed or just fault codes?
-
Was someone trying to install this in the Z?
I believe that it shouldn't be a problem, but I'm not sure about the steering wheel controls...
Well... I believed...
It was supposed to be fairly easy, but now I know that I've definitely underestimated it...
Got the stereo (photos attached, knobs are taken off) and looms (pics attached), but have no idea how to connect these two together to make the stereo work.
Can anyone tell me how to match these cables to make the stereo work? I've read many installation guides, but they are either for a different car year(pre-lift)/non-bose/lacking in steering wheel controls/harness plug and play/missing pics.
My car is a '07 with Bose and steering wheel controls.
Going to a guy to have it fixed for me is currently out of the question... the car is incomplete as I'm working on DLRs and some other small things.
Help please.

The camera I got was just a cheap Hong Kong jobbie like this: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item259a32121e
The pic is 'as is' if that's what you mean, just like your rear view mirror. Used an internet guide to fit it, went OK and works really well. The head unit I got from a place called Alexradio on Ebay, there's around £20 import tax to pay on it. I don't have the steering wheel controls on mine so can't comment on that aspect. The unit comes with a little remote control as well.

Edited to add the link to the unit from Alexradio.
Thanks for the info.
I'll use the same camera.
As for the stereo I'm thinking about Quad Core unit with KitKat on board.
There are guides on here for that exact rear view camera
Got it, thanks.

From this distance the wing is almost OEM looking. I like it.

Thanks mate!

I have that unit, it's brilliant, get yourself one of those reversing cameras that pop into the rear number plate light to complete it.
Thanks for the info.
That's my goal.
Which camera did you use CCD or CMOS? This unit can mirror the camera image, right?
-
Finally managed to install my new Android head unit and reversing camera today.
Great buy!
Which cam did you choose? Fitted in the license plate light? CMOS or CCD? What do you think of it?
How does the subwoofer work with the unit? Some say this combination doesn't result in good quality,... wondering what that means and what's your opinion.
Did you use the sound booster?
Thanks to Veegee I now have the background on my head unit looking like this
Much better! Now the background mesh is sharp.
What resolution did you guys use?

Just installed a non branded unit similar to above in mine. Have a look in my build thread ( link in signature).
Thanks, will dig it.
I had to buy an adapter from incartec but the steering wheel controls work fine using 1 wire only.
Do you remember which adapter worked? Can you share a link?
Is there difference in which wire you choose?

Merry Christmas!
I'm thinking about buying this Chinese stereo.
Was someone trying to install this in the Z?
I believe that it shouldn't be a problem, but I'm not sure about the steering wheel controls... They say that the unit has two pins for supporting steering wheel controls (SW1 and SW2). My question is, is it enough? It appears that (according to How to Connect the ICT/InCarTec Bose Loom) there is not enough cables...but, has anyone tried with this, or similar connector? It looks as if two lines can be enough... :?
Oh, one more thing.
I know that this unit probably wont even try to compete with most of the branded aftermarket stereos, but I'm not an audiophile, was happy with my Bose stereo, until the CD changer got jammed. I'm considering buying a branded stereo, but only if the above listed wont work as the stock one + reverse camera.
My car is equipped with '06 Bose system.
Any answers/comments/info will be appreciated.

Gear Oil Questions and Answers

I'm delaying my automatic transmission oil change as I can't decide which to choose...
Nissan says that the Nissan Matic J is the best... but it's expensive.
Uncle google told me that the Zs sold in Japan market were filled with Idemitsu products (semi synthetic).
Some happy users shared info that changing transmission oil to a German Ravenol J2/S oil (fully synthetic) is a good idea.
The above two are my puzzle... Can anyone share info/comment which to choose and why.
If there are other automatic transmission fluids you can recommend, please share your opinion.
Will appreciate any info.
Edit:
My mileage is low ~25k (if it's true).
Z is a '07 HR.
