There is a thread on here about what is required, just need to seach for it

 

You will need a HU manufacturer specific loom. Most is available is from sextons direct.

 

You will need:-

 

HU

Specific loom adapter with steering wheel controls

Facia adapter

Possibly some new speakers and amp.

Maybe im a bit out of my depth, could do with some advice.

So my Bose head unit has broke ("Check Disc") just weeks after getting my Zed and looks like i'm not gunna have much joy in getting it repaired so i'm looking at installing an aftermarket one. I want to be able to use my steering steering wheel controls still. I asked at a local halfords and they seemed to have no idea, so im taking it into my own hands. i think i have found the right adaptor i need is this the one ? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Pioneer-Nissan-350Z-Steering-Wheel-Stalk-Adaptor-Lead-/400214099522?pt=UK_Cars_Parts_Vehicles_Terminals_Cabling_ET&hash=item5d2e9e8642 Is this the only extra lead i need?

The head units im looking at are these three. Does anyone have any experience with fitting any of them? Do any of you guys have pics of any of them installed in the Zed as im a little worried a couple of them may have a "gloss" effect look and not look right in the car.

My Bose head unit is still doing this "check disc" things and won't play my CDs :-(

Does anyone know where I could get this repaired and how much I might be looking at?

So today i'm driving to work and its time for the CD to change and nothing happens. Ilook down at the head unit and all it says is check disc?

I've tried taking all the CDs out and putting them back in but nothing, still the same check disc message. Does anyone have a fix for this or is there a reset button for the head unit or sum thing ?

Any help would be great as i dont want to be force to listen to the radio !

I'm not gunna be driving the really hard often, during the week it's just backwards and forwards to work but I wanna be able to drive it a bit harder now and again it's part of the fun of having a car like the Zed.

Lol well seems like a bit of a con. Nissan prices just seem to be stupid. Found a local place that do a full service Inc oil, rear dif and all the filters etc for £225.

I went for Falkens last time round, and apart from taking a few hundred miles to bed in they are Great .......and less expensive than the bridgestones

I'm gunna be looking to get myself some new tyres for the front of my Zed pretty damn soon. Its running bridgestone potenzas all round atm, looking into the price of these tyre they are not cheap. Now im not looking for cheap tyres but is there something more reasonably priced that someone could recomend me that are in the same sort of league?

I've just got myself my Zed and it could really do with a full service from looking at the book. What im wondering is other than the air filter what else is done extra from the P2 to make it so much more expensive ? Also anyone know any good reasonably priced around the Hampshire/Wiltshire areas? i'm not too worried about it being a mains dealer.

Thought id come back and say hi again as i am now a Zed owner and do have some questions that your see dotted round.

from some of my Reading I understand that there are some interior differences between models made before 2006? Is this true ? What are they ? Does this apply to the gt4 ? Also if anyone has any pics outlining the changes that wud be super !

Im new here and very new to 350zs, as in i dont have one yet. Ive been looking to get a new car in the near time soon and have been looking at somthing sort of in the price range of about £15 give or take. So i have a few very basic questions to ask i guess.

Am i right in saying the top spec 350z is the GT model and is there a turbo version?

What are the different options when i comes to wheels?

Is there anyone that has pictures of the 350z with black wheels?

What dose everyone think sets the 350z apart from other cars in the price range?
