  1. They are in really good nick, I'm just very picky, kern marks are very minor. I shall put some individual pics up I think.

I have said I'm open to offers, but on eBay some, not as good condition as mine, are up for £550 and there has been a lot sold over on sxoc for more money.

    That's for the advice though.

  2. 18" standard 6 spoke with tyres and centre caps. Tyres legal circa 2.5 - 3mm all round - federal and Toyo T1R. Wheels in good condition, light kerb marks on 3 of them and one front has a small amount of lacquer peeling on the edge which you donet notcie when they are on the car. I can put piccys up of each wheel if requested.

Looking for around £300. I think this is a fair price seeing as Rays usually fetch a lot more. Open to sensible offers as im in no rush to sell. Collection from Nottingham area or I can arrange delievery at £30 i think it is.

Any questions you can ring, text or pm me.

350z not included in the sale...

  3. Rubber belts, naturally due to their design and the strains on them will stretch. This will be more noticeable when first fitted but as they wear they do need to be tightened. On a lot of cars people tend not to experience this as they have automatic tensioners which allow for wear and stretching all of the time.

Check the condition of your drive belts - They ribs in the belt should be smooth and not broken up by lots of cracks. If they are ok, adjust the tension slightly but be careful not to go to far as this can cause a whuring noise and put excess pressure on the bearings of all components the belts run on.

You will notice a little more noise in wheather conditions such as this where moisture will build up on the metal pulleys over night, the noise at first is this moisture burning off. If this is a bug concern you can always buy products now that spray on to the drive belts to make them extra sticky ... ;)

  4. To be honest I came very close to buying your car when i was looking for mine. The price wasnt the part that put me off, its worth that all day long, it was just the fact it wasnt a GT spec. I know it doesnt help selling but maybe its what other people may be thinking. Lovely looking car, free bump and good luck with the sale.

  5. Bloke from my local Chips Away is here sorting out the nasty rust spot on the front left wing tip of the Zed.

Will post some pics up later on !

A rusty nissan... tut tut Andy lol. About time it was sorted out!

  6. Well after viewing a few more i have finally bought one, due to pick it up on monday :teeth:

Its a 54 plate, gunmetal grey with the Alzean leather and full gt pack. Only thing not on there is the rays but i may have a plan on that one! 48k miles with full nissan history, 2 owners, 3 keys one with the original nissan dealer tag! Also has the plastic see thrugh guard on the front end to protect from stone chips :) Not had a spot of paint on it and leather looks like new. Really glad i have found a good one after looking at a lot of rough cars, it was over my budget but thought it worth paying a little more to make sure resale value will be good. Even has a 2 year warranty on the engine and box the previous owner took out.

And where did i find it? The worst possible advert i had ever seen for a car, but thought i would look anyway lol.

So, fingers firmly crossed monday i shall be a happy Z owner :yahoo:

  7. bronzee, that one had a poor paint job on the rear hence the peeling.

bounty - only my garage at the top of the drive now with my tools in. Still like to do a few bits as a hobby now but not in the motor trade any longer.

the black z - cancelled on me. viewed a blue one on autotrader whioch had again been painted on the rear and had a worrying loud bang from the gearbox area which went when clutch depressed, suggesting fly wheel. The hunt continues ...

  8. thanks for all your welcomes guys. Going to look at a black gt tomorrow with 39k on so keeping my fingers firmly crossed.

Bounty - Im in kirkby, where abouts in mansfield are you at? are there many meets around us?

Stew - to be honest the paint wasnt that bad from new, maybe a little better than mitsubishi. The cars i have looked at either had run's in the paint, lacquer overspray or one that had the lacquer peeling away from the paint!

Hopefully, i may be a new owner tommorrow!

  9. Hi everyone,

I have been looking through the forums so thought it best to say  About me...

Well, car history wise had a few toys, started off with an old CRX vtec (still one of the most fun cars i have ever driven), moved on to a 200sx s14a which was modded to 300bhp in the end(and blew gearbox's all the time!), a TVR Tuscan (totally incredible and reliable!), BMW 330ci converible (good car but boring) and now.... a Rover 45 run around(Weapon! lol).

Looking to move into a 350z now. Always liked these, I used to be a technician in the motor trade, first at mitsubishi for nearly 5 years then Nissan. I used to work on them new and knew then I had to have one, one day. Well moved out of the motor trade for a year or longer now so like cars that dont require 24/7 attention but want the capability of having something to tinker with.

Been to look at 7 350z's now, but alas they havent been the right car's for me. I havent seen one yet that hasnt been painted (poor job at that) and one i viewed at the top of my budget had bad rust on the bonnet :bang: ! So I am little disheartened here, running a rover isnt the best whilist looking for a car lol. I live in Nottingham and have travelled all over Birmingham, doncaster and down south in the hunt so far.

Budget wise ideally dont wanna spend over £10, which viewing classifieds I will hopefully get a decent car for this.

Well, thats briefly me. I'm 24, I do like contributing to forums and, being a time served technician at Nissan and other main dealers should hopefully bring some, if not some amount of advice to people. I have done a lot of work on 350z's, no doubt Andy will post on here too

Cheers guys, hope to meet some of you soon,

    Ian :drunk:

Well this is the car i ended up with,

Its just done 49k now, running really well. Has the plastic protector on the front and the headlights which i think is good, even though on the way to the airport after having it for 3 days to go on holiday i got a chip in the screen :bang: Oh well it can be repaired. Want to change the wheels, pritty sure im going to get a set of rays for it as i like the look of them. Enjoying the car just want the weather to behave so it can have a good clean and run.
