  1. It is a sad day, I have to give up the Z. The need for 4 seats and somthing a little more economical has

forced me to change. i have traded in for a Merc 320 CDI Sport, i did not get as much as i would have liked for the Z but got a great deal on the Merc. What did hack me off was insulting offer from above. My Z is a UK spec GT Coupe 313 BHP model with 25000 miles on the clock and a full Nissan service history. I bought the car with 200 miles on the clock and it is immaculate. We buy any car.CON offered £12,995.00

Anyway thanks to all who have helped with the few questions I have posted, this is a great Forum and I wll still be visiting. Hopfully I will be in a position to buy a new Z in the future.

  2. Hi.

I am looking into changing my works mobile from a Blackberry to an I phone 3GS but have read a few reviews

stating that the I phone is not very good at connection to Blue tooth devices.

Can anybody confirm if it does or does not connect to the standard Z Blue Tooth kit.

    Cheers,

    Ian

  3. Not sure if this a problem, feature or quirk but i've started to notice the Zed "bucks" quite a bit at around 20mph (1500-2000 revs) - anyone else have this issue or have any idea what could be causing it?

Soon as I start to accelerate past 20mph it stops, but if i'm holding that speed for more than a few seconds I start to notice it

Clutch? Or something more sinister? :)

    Thanks

    Sorry for late reply.

Had a very similar proble on my 08 UK Zed. In 1st and 2nd gear revs would reach 1500 ish and then would

drop off for a spllit second causing the car to lurch forwards when revs picked up again. P2 service has cured

it but never did find out the cause.

    Hope this helps.

  4. Hi.

Its time for some new rubber and I want to stick with the Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta's.

Can anybody advise cheapest place to buy them. I normally use Camskill but was wondering

if there was any cheaper option.

    Cheers.

  5. Just had my renewal through from Direct Line - £1041.60 :scare:

Tried Admiral's MultiCar with the Zed and my Vitara.

How can Direct Line try and charge that much when Admiral charge less for TWO cars?

    Hi John.

I had a similar problem with BMW Insurance. I own a Mini JCW GP and now also a Z. BMW quoted in excess of £1000, not for both cars but as an add on for the Z. I am already paying £ 550 for the Mini. I went with the Admiral multi car policy and paid approx £ 950 for the 2 cars.

Where abouts in Staffs are you ?

  6. Hi.

I was readin the post from CFC109 re cheapest mods and spacers seem to be popular.

Can anyone advise where I can get them and give an idea of cost. Also any advice re

sizes (20mm / 25mm) would be appreciated. i have standard 18" Rays fitted.

    Thanks in advance.

  7. Hi.

Had a similar problem were both washers would not retract fully after using them in the recent freezing weather. I waited until the temperature was above freezing before trying to wash the head lights again, they both retracted fully so I assume that the washer fluid had frozen. I was using ready mixed which should have been good to - 4 deg C.

  8. Guys,

    Hi.....My name is Max...I`m 43 .........and a zedoholic!

People ask me constantly why did I buy the car and I always reply with the same answer "I`m having a midlife crisis!"

I have had my Zed for about 3-4 months now and have often wondered if Im an old fart when it comes to owners within our ranks.?

    Cheers

    Hi Max

Bought my Z last May and turn 44 next month.

Midlife crisis too I am afraid.

  9. Mine is a 309 roadster and i can hit 155mph on 5th gear nice and quickly...just before the rev limiter and then its got the 6th as well which is a long gear...i would say 170mph should be realistic on a very very long straight...but its down to aerodynamics as well so in the coupe should be a bit more.

speed according to the road angel..

Thanks for that. Is nice to get a reply from my home city.

I dont think I will be trying to match your figure any time soon and I assume

you were on an air field etc.

    C'mon u Tigers.

  10. Was down the pub last night discussing the Zed with some mates and was asked what

the top speed of the 350 Z would be if unrestricted. Does anybody out there know ?

If it makes a difference mine is an 08 plate 309 / 313 BHP model (BHP seems to

depend on which article you read).

  11. Hi Ian how much are they a pop, is that on all 4 wheels? I think my 07 has the orginal bridgestones on them, only takes a bit of damp or wet and the traction light comes on.

    Hi Mark.

Have not got the exact figures with me but paid approx £ 132.00 each for the

rears and £ 105.00 each for the fronts. Carriage for all 4 was £ 5.00 and paid a

local company £ 20.00 per corner to fit them. I bought them from Camskill.

  12. As much as a fan I am of Goodyear F1's, I would not put GSD3's on, I would go for the Assimetric pattern.

Unfortunately they don't make those in the correct sizes for the rear, as I was looking for a set at the weekend. :(

Thats what I thought when I looked a few months ago

I have Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta's and I'm very pleased with the grip on them. (they look good too B) )

    Hi

I have looked at the Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta's and have what ay be a stupid question. Does the tread pattern run in the same direction on the left side and right side tyre? The tyres I saw both have a thick groove on the 'inner' side of the tyre but the tread ran in opposite directions.

  13. I think that the standard fit Bridgestones are generally poorly regarded by most on here

I would like to change from the Bridgestones but dont have the cash to replace fronts

and rears (tax is due this month) together and I am worried about having different

tryes on the front and rear especially after reading a few of the earlier comments.

  14. don't mix and match across axles you'll get 2 different grips front and rear, and run the risk of turning your car into a ditch finding missle.

also not sure the eagle F1's make the right tyre size for the rear axle. think they do them fro the front sbut not the rears.

anubis can run them as he has 19" wheels and they make them in that size.

You are spot on. I had been offered the Eagle F1's to suit the standard 18" rims but have now been told they have been discontinued. I think I will save myself a lot of hassle and stick with the original Bridgestone's.

    Thanks for your help.
