Heya Guys

Hooked up a diagnostic comp to the zed and you guys were bang on the money!! For the Engine test it came up with code P0340 which says it is the camshaft position Sensor A Circuit Bank 1 or single sensor, and for the ABS test it came up with code C1130 Engine signal 1?? any ideas what this is please??

Thanks for that guys!! Gonna try and get the code tomo. Do you recomend still driving her or would that cause any serious problems?? And how easy is it to fix if it is that sensor as i may have to take it to nissan!

Hey Guys!!

Was driving to the shops today then the zed just cut out whilst in traffic (did'nt stall). As i turned her over it took a few seconds to turnover then my engine management light came on, and also my ESP OFF light is constantly on. I can drive the car fine except for the car taking a few seconds to start up and the two lights remaining on!!

Have any of you had this problem or any ideas what it could be?? Appreciate any feedback!

I was quoted by nissan down in the southwest £230 for a fully front bumper spray incl removal and refiitting the bumper which i thought was quiet a resonable price from a dealer! But again it varys from where u live in the uk! Hope u manage to find a good price!

If you want a cheap but effective way of putting them back to new, I went to halfords and found some alloy wheel silver spray to touch up my rays. I Just sprayed a bit into the lid and used a very fine paintbrush and some tape and that seemed to work a treat! Now you can't even notice they've been scratched!!

Thanks alot Guys for your thoughts feeling a bit better, just collected the zed without taking the work carried out by nissan as im not paying a ridiculous £324 for a mass air flow sensor!! Will PM ZMANALEX for parts and do as you guys say and take it to a garage to get them fitted!

Have just driven her home, the car drives fine with no problems and the Engine management light is not on display anymore? Have they just cleared the fault although the service person said they couldnt clear the fault until the work had been carried out??

Hey Zed owners

Ive just been to the Nissan garage to see why me Engine Management light was on. They've come back to me and said both oxygen sensors have failed which they said is rare for them both to fail at the same time. The mechanic at nissan said it was the mass air flow meter which meters the fuel has failed! Has this happend to any of you zed owners out there? and could this cause damage to the engine or catalytic converter if i were to still drive it as Nissan want £324 to fit a new one that was incl £85 diagnostic check too!!

Any Ideas please.

Hey Guys and Gals

Could any of you shed some light please as Ive just changed my Disc Brakes and Pads on Both front wheels today, and have just noticed my Engine managemnt light has just come on! Surely changing these the engine Manage light shouldnt come on? Are there any sensors that could have been knocked accidently whilst changing the discs and brakes?

Your help would be much appreciated

Ps this is for a 53 plate Uk spec with brembos.

Got to the airport and didnt get the car in the end!! Turned out the Guy had outstanding finance on it, and also had 3 previous owners instead of 1 which he said in his add on Autotrader. This was for a 55 plate with 25000 miles seemed a bit dodgy to me!! So walked away from it.

Ive finally bought a zed from Belfast which i am collecting on friday morning!! Can anyone give me any pointers or anything i need to know when bringing it to the UK? Im driving it from Larne catching the ferry over to Stranraer then to Bournemouth.The Car is on Irish plates.

Spend a tad more and get a low/lower mileage.

+1 I bought a 06 GT with 14000 miles on the clock for 15K 4 months ago, so they're out there.

Thats well above my budget, and why pay thousands more for a lower number on the dash board. In my opinion its more important to buy a car on age and condition.

Im glad i posted this, have now decided not to get it. Your all right the wheels dont look great and like sarnie says why buy a GT4 if it has'nt got the GT4 rims! yes the exhaust from the photos does not look like a nismo as a friend has confirmed who has a nismo exhaust on his zed.
