  1. Hi Sean,

Welcome to the Z club! As you may have heard I am EX-Honda CTR owner of 3 and a half years!!

Did you ever attend my Honda Meets at BLUEWATER? Plenty of Tegs always showed up, yours may have been there?

Keep an eye out for the South East Meets, some tasty ones coming up, maybe at ACE CAFE!!

    Jerry

    hey Jerry,

I did attend them back in the day when I had a crx... did you run it back in 2006?

if so were you there on the august bh weekend? we all went into tgi's and gave someone an impromptu... 35th birthday. :D

    got free cake though.

  2. Thank you every one. You're all so friendly! not used to a website like that. Must be used to Honda forums...

Sean, a few of the southern zed owners are headin up to sivlerstone next sunday, the 31st, might be worth popping up to meet a fair few zeds as well as there owners, if ya fancy it ?

At what time is this on from? i finish work at 4pm (unless it hits the fan...) so could maybe join you's...

  3. I was looking at the 370z at Nissan UK recently after not being convinced by the car in pics. I must say that it works very well in the flesh. B)

As for the Cayman, it must be the owners around here because they dont impress me.

the z is a lot more striking than the previous model, saying that though when it first came out, everyone was calling the 350z striking like the then recent audi TT. The cayman is typical porsche, substance over style. I do love them though.. :)

  4. We bought the 350 after comparing to the RX8, Boxster s, crossfire and Merc. Bang for buck it was the best all round, and I don't think that has changed with the 370 v Cayman.

Would have been nice for it to have done another GTR on Porsche though ;)

weren't they testing a German model though? only from previous experience don't they set up the cars for different markets? I worked briefly for Honda and remember them telling me that the cars which are tested in germany usually have set ups specifically for them, such as a hard sporty ride, compared to the uk market which compensates for our fantastic driving roads.

I will hold jodgement till they get a UK model.

Off topic slightly, I don't know if anyone has experienced this with the GTR and the 370z, but don't the looks on both of them grow on you? the 370z at first looked horrid! now I can't help but think wow!

  5. Check the ad out in the for sale section theres a better pic there Sean, let me know if you wana pop round and have a look and a chat even if its just to get an idea what the zeds are all about mate

just checked the ad out... you have the bonnet bulge! ://swoon

that's just awesome. and thank you for ze invite. will have to take you up on the offer. Sat in one at the last motorshow in london. Was immpressed just with it standing still.

  6. Hello! :)

As said in my intro post, I own one of these, a car i've hankered over since I saw the first uk specs back in 1998 in shepperton autoway honda.

An attainable dream car for a long time, as a treat to myself for getting into a job which I am dead proud of I purchased this example back in October 2007.

and the obligatory "white on white" shot...

He is running on buddy club racing spec dampers, and will be installing my mugen twin loop on his as soon as I get the chance (to get off my bottom).

things I need to do before I sell him.

Sort the front vents out, annoys the hell out of me being white all over, a gloss black will break the front end up a treat.

I am semi tempted to get a spoon carbon front spoiler. and a rear guerney lip for the wing. I don't want a leeds taxi, but a touch of carbon won't hurt. I want it to look tasteful after all B)

hope you like what you see. :)

    Regards

  7. Thank you for the warm welcome guys!

and there is one in suffolk at ipswich on the 19th of june if that helps. its 20 min form colchester, just depends on how far you are from colchester. ;)

I'm based in Rayleigh, but Colchester isn't too bad.

19th I can't make it though. The new transformers film is out then...

    Regards

  8. Hello!

As the title says, I am currently an owner of a 98 spec dc2 integra which I love and adore. But my eyes keep going over 350z's for the past 6 months, and I can't help but think that it's something I will be moving onto at some point. How soon I do not know but I think being a lurker and keeping a view on the site and good ol' PH will be good. The market is surprising for what is essentially on similar par to e36/e46 m3's without the badge snobbery :)

anyway, if there are any meets local to me I may have to come and taint it with the Honda! :surrender:

    Regards

    Sean
