  1. I'm sorry to hear that mate - fingers crossed things pick up for you.

Hopefully we'll be fighting each other over a new Zed in 2010.

    Take it easy mate

    Paul

You are right, the zed was up for sale. Work has been non existent for quite a while now and the car had to go unfortunately. Hopefully next year things will be back to normal, and i'll be on the look out for another zed.
  2. The wife and Dog happened mate  - Shes been moaning about how "impractical" the car was and "Couldn't I see it didnt make sense having a 3rd car just so I could take the dog out" etc etc - So I unfortunately opted for the quiet life and the Zed and 3rd car have gone in favour of a 2006 Subaru Forester 2.5 Turbo - not a Zed I know but its still fun - and surprsingly quick!!

Am thinking with the prices coming down that I may return to the fold next year by picking up an old import (sub £5k) as a "summer" car ;) if I can swing it.

What are you up to now - I was sure I saw that your Zed was for sale a few months back?

I didn't know you were zedless Premmitt, what happened?
  3. Guys have removed the Splash guard pics as they have been SOLD.

Wheels still available - Offer around £100 for the 4 plus one good Michelin front tyre.

I will get some pics on here over the weekend - to be honest I just want them gone - too much of a reminder of the 350!

    Thanks

    Paul

  4. 4 standard 18" alloys (non Rays) in relatively good condition (all have light scratching and/or kerbing) 1 with very good Michelin Pilot Sport Front tyre 3 with no tyres. Ideal for drifting or trackdays or winter wheels.

Will get pictures up as soon as I can.

Car has gone so have no use for them £60 or offers around that for the four - pick up from CF34 9HF South Wales or sort your own courier.

    Cheers

    Paul

  5. Am still after a set of mudflaps, splash guards whatever you want to call them :D

Not bothered about colour (silver would be good though) as long as they are in good condition and are the correct type i.e. moulded behind front wheel and behind rear wheel.

    Cheers

    Paul

  6. Should either be on / inside the clocks or directly under the clocks in the wiring. I dont think thats your problem though as it only alters / converts the speed pulse. I could be wrong. If you want the UK Clocks off me I can supply them, but for them to work you need the find the conversion chip and remove it otherwise speedo wont register anything.

Also plug in to diagnostics as these problems can be brought about from the meter amp or the BCM unit.

Where abouts in the country are you??

Call me and I will save you a fortune

Can you get UK centre console clocks too?? (the 3 pod above the satnav)

  7. Cheers for that - I think if they go on they have to be a complete set (my opinion only) would prefer to keep the costs down so second hand preferably - colour doesnt matter as even the new ones from JDM need to be sprayed now!

    Cheers

    Paul

  8. I'm looking for front and rear (behind rear wheels) mud flap things - just fitted 20mm spacers and could do with some front protection at the least.

Not bothered what colour (silver would be nice though) cars a 2004/54 and the fitting clips would be handy! :teeth:

    Cheers

    Paul

  9. Sorry guys - can't confirm - been away with work all week and apparently we need a "FAMILY" day according to the missus  not sure when me the missus and the dog became a family mind you!

Am gutted as finally got the clear front reflectors, wheel spacers and In dash DVD finished.

    Have a cracking day

  11. It did look a tad clandestine!! :ninja:

As you will have gathered am now driving again - yesterday was first day in the Zed (better than the shogun Pinin I've been driving for the past week or so) - so will defo be along to the 28th June meet - hopefully have the spacers on by then so won't look quite so sadly un modded!

    Hows the Zed search fairing>

Yep that was us doing a bit of dodgy dealing :ninja:
  12. That was me fellas - had just picked it up from the MOT (flew it by the way)

You should have popped over for a chat!

Were you hanging about with a vectra??

    Paul

    Tonight about 7ish.

2 Z owners, no Zeds & not a spoted card between us

Had a sticker in the back window, we didnt want to rush over to him considering the cars we were in

  13. Guys,

before you buy anything try running the air con at full blast on full heat with the car idling for around 5-10 mins - this usually burns out the bacteria and the smell will go away. Its a massive issue on renault cars and this solves it everytime.

Give it a try at least its free.

If you do use the spray or bomb, you drop it in the passenger footwell and run the air con on recirc so it gets sucked through the system

    hope this helps

  14. Thanks mate, I had the bumper ones from JDM too - didn't realise they were so cheap from the dealer - will call in there and get some ordered

Try JDM Performance,I got the ones for the top of the front bumper from them.

I also got the ones your after from the dealer, they are only a £1 a pop.

  15. Anybody out there know where I can get bodywork clips - namely the ones that hold the underbonnet section around the battery cmpartment? I really don't want to go to the stealer if I can help it!

    cheers

    Paul

  16. I have a JDM, but was originally imported by Nissan, has two keys and a valet key, no security was fitted other than the immobiliser - but just had a laserline alarm fitted that works off the original Nissan key - i.e no other fobs needed. Included microwave internal sensors (asked them not to fit the external one that "warns" when people get close) and had it done for £350.

Was well worth the money not to have another key fob to carry round.

  17. After some advice people,

Had an alarm reccomended and delivered from falcon - provided them with all the details of the car '04 350Z JDM no existing alarm but factory immobiliser. I aksed for an alarm that I culd use my exiting Nissan keyfob with.

They suggested Predator XL and sent one through for a local installer to fit - Guy turns up (who is excellent as i've seen his install work before) and saya he cant fit the alarm as i need a CAN bus version - only a single in and out feed to the central locking etc.

being and engineer and happening to have the wiring diagrams to hand we poured over them and came to the conslusion that the only way to fit the non CAN bus unit was to hash up the existing wiring - we decided this wasnt the wat to go so knocked the job on the head - with the installer getting no pay for the 3 hrs he was there (luckily Lee from Sonic Frontiers is a top lad and he took this on the chin)

Rang Falcon they ignored me for 3 days then said that the alarm was easily fitted and that they would send an installer from the big smoke (London) over to fit it.

Should I just send them packing and get my money back - get a CAN bus unit and then get Sonic frontiers to fit it?

I take it a CAN bus unit is the best way to go??? Some advice :please:

    Cheers paul
