  1. As stated the induction kit has now been fitted, photos and sounds to follow and she now not only growls from the back but from the front also she is burbling well, the more you push the better it sounds. Went on sweet as a nut until i got to the heat shield what a PIG to fit. Induction pipe and filter 45 mins, heat shield 3 bloody hours.....:rant: but she is on and Simon is a happy bunny with a grin that just keeps getting bigger :yahoo::yahoo::teeth::yahoo:

  2. Must say I am not overly keen. I think the interior is a big improvement but the whole thing reminds me of a jelly mold and the tailgate now resembles the TT too much. I still love the 350z as it doesnt look like anything else. The 370 may look better in the flesh but I will wait to be convinced

  3. so the wife got her own way then?

Unfortunately yes  however the flip side is whatever I make on the Celica goes towards bits for the Zed :yahoo::yahoo::yahoo: so I had a win win situation really. Nice to meet you at the weekend by the way, sorry to hear about the radar trap lets hope they werent zeroed in on you. If ever you fancy a run around our area just let me know, if I am available I will happily make one in

  4. good buy with the hks, could you post pics up and maybe a sound clip if you get chance?

I will certainly try my best matey, provided I can master this forum, post, link, stuff technology

  6. LOL Martin and yes you would have been right but I found a link to resetting the ECU so wont ask hahaha. Thank you all for your advice it is very much appreciated. I have agreed a HKS induction kit from CS and NOISE :yahoo: would be good, must admit quite happy with the way she performs, was not embarrased or left for dead in Chester and no that is NOT a gauntlet that is being thrown down :surrender:

Had to take it easy bud as the clutch is on its last legs :p

I knew there must be a reason I never got out of 3rd B)

  7.

But if you do fit an induction kit it is well worth resetting the ecu ;)

Can you guess what the next question will be?

Thanks for your replies its quite often "cant see the wood for the trees" thats why I wanted recommendations but it sounds like they are all much of a muchness and you say they are all pretty comparable with each other, "you get what you pay for" so its a matter of plumping for one and go for it. New shiny bits to be ordered hehe

  9. At the meet in Chester I noticed that a few of the guys/gals had induction kits fitted, I WANT ONE !!!!! but searching the net brings up so many different makes/types. Can anyone give recommendations as to qwhich may be the best one to get and if you have one fitted can you tell me what improvements you have noticed.

Also there were some with carbon/carbon look fascia covers from the upper clocks to the gear lever but can I find any for right hand drive cars on the net ... NO !!!! any advice as to where these illusive items are sold. Cheers

  10. As a newbie to the club, to which I thank all of you who welcomed me, can anyone give me an idea of which would be the best Zed events of 2009 to attend. If you reply and have been to Zed events please give me your list of your top three. Distance is not really a consideration.

    Thanks

  11. My tailgate struts have gone... for want of a better word LIMP, ie they will not support the gate when open. I have enquired at the Nissan dealership and been quoted £375.00 fitted which seems EXTREMELY steep to me.

    Does anyone know

    Are they easy to fit?

Would it be worth my while buying and fitting myself?

Would aftermarket parts be cheaper but still of good quality?

    Any advice gratefully accepted

  12. Thank you all for your very welcoming comments. I will answer some of the questions posed, my Zed is gunmetal silver in colour, I will post some photos when I have transferred them from the camera to the puter. I am from Castleford in West Yorkshire which is an old mining town near Wakefield.

Some of you seem to think that retirement means old hahahahahaha, I suppose I may be compared to some of you but I am only 50 years old and I am looking forward to being a Zed member until I get my bus pass. hehehe
