As I've mentioned in other threads, I bought the Haltech Platinum and a vortech tuner kit.
My tuner was ecstatic about the ECU, in his own words, it's the best ECU for this car, bar none.
It can handle FI greater than any piggyback could, especially if you're going for high HP.
It's got features that the other big player (aka FCON V Pro) doesn't offer. I can't be arsed to do a head to head comparison, but you can do some research and figure it out for yourself. I searched around for a few weeks, asked a few tuners and they all suggested this ECU over any other currently on the market.
This might sound stupid, but I was initially interested in the FCON. So I called a few dealers to get quotes etc. One of them even suggested I went with the Haltech. He was an HKS dealer, mind!
Many US cars run them and the results have proven fantastic.
Me, I think it might be overkill for a N/A application. A piggyback can probably offer all that a Haltech can at half the price. But for a serious N/A build or any FI application, you won't find a better ECU out there currently.
